Fewer divisions, now I know you are trolling that or you have no logic between your ears.

Dehydrating yourself is never healthy though.

You don't think there should be fewer divisions? 17 is ridiculous.

In my opinion they absolutely should return to same day weigh ins and changing them to the day before the fight weigh ins was one of the ******est and worse decisions in boxing history. I am a veteran boxing fan and have been through decades of same day weigh ins. I can't remember any problems with them. You sure as hell never had a boxer weigh in as a 160 pound middleweight and enter the ring weighing 180 pounds.

same day weigh, a day before the fight weigh in ok with me, but the fighter should only weigh a max of 5 lbs more than the maximum weight of the division they are fighting when they enter the ring.

You are missing the point. You suggesting there should be fewer divisions will only cause greater weight discrepancies.

That's valid. I do think it's more dangerous and with the sport under a microscope it's good to err for caution. That said, plenty of sports do same day (and so did boxing) and the bodies aren't piling up. There's fair arguments for both.

I totally agree. A middleweight fight advertised as such should be fought at 160, not 180.

                      How is it more dangerous?
