The claims against FLoyd are true, he did time for it.

And thats one of the main things FLoyd is known for apart from being
    undefeated.

Does it suck for FLoyd fans, sure it does. But it is reality, saying it isn't so is childish.

Sometimes you have to man up and stop beating around the bush.
Ive never seen anyone question Sugar Ray Leonard about his domestic violence accusations to his face so stop talking out of your ass. And doing jail time for one case doesn't mean you did it. Floyd took a plea deal to avoid a trial, 90% of courses end in lea deals. That does NOT mean someone is guilty of what they were charged with.

      Floyd admitted he was guilty.
He said he took the deal so his kids wouldn't have to testify after he got out of jail. Why? To protect them from saying their dad did nothing wrong?

The dirtbag blamed going to jail on his kids.

We'll never even know if all the claims against Floyd were even true. But what we do know is that he is one of the best boxers to ever lace on a pair of gloves.
Let them bring it up in a boxing thread. Good to see the ones still butthurt

Mayweather was able to keep unified titles in multiple divisions due to corruption. The WBC had to lose even more credibility by arguing Maidana 2 was a 154 defence, and the WBA dont even care about rules anymore

Most other boxers would have been stripped in one of their divisions

How is this an achievement exactly? Theres plenty to praise Floyd for, but this isn't something

            What a load of crap.

Do you know how many boxers have beaten women? A long list.

Rarely is it talked about nor should it be when a boxing question is asked.

Carlos Monzon not only badly beat his wives, he actually killed his final wife, rather brutally.

How often is that brought up when talking about Monzon's boxing career? Never.

It's not about "people" questioning him, it's about people recognizing it.

Fans and non-fans know Tyson has a history with domestic violence. As they do about SRR, most notably on his documentaries. People know about SRL because his son has spoken out about it. Fans know about Tony Ayala JR and his charges.

It's there, and unfortunately their names are tied with domestic violence, not just for being celebrities or "targets". But because they actually did it.

Not everyone likes Tyson/Mayweather/SRL/SRR because of it.

If you like either of them only because of what represent in the ring, it's up to you.

but I look for and have far more respect for what a fighter represents in and out of the ring..

No need to deny one over the other like you're trying to do.

His biggest achievement is beating the smaller Pac with one bad shoulder coming off of a ko loss. Pac is the best person on his resume. So when you put into perspective how many former champions he beat etc etc everything else pales into insignificance.

Beating many FORMER champions means nothing considering how poor former champs can be, and what kind of form they are in when Floyd fought them. A former champ might not even neccesarily be in the top 3o in the division when Floyd fought them.
Wlad Klitcho don't fight many former champs, because Wlad is the champ and wont give the titles to anyone else. So hes not going to get the opportunity to fight former champs.
