[QUOTE=sugar ray lenrd;16197698]Maidana 2 was at 147 but WbC and WBA recognized it as a defense of his 154 belts.Mayweather was able to keep unified titles in multiple divisions due to corruption. The WBC had to lose even more credibility by arguing Maidana 2 was a 154 defence,
Huh??? I didn't know that...And I am not a casual fan...So there first fight was at Welterwgt? If so, why would they make the rematch at Jr Middlewgt? not kool. Thanks for your post. People should be posting rmarks about this & not about the man's wife beating escapades. This post has nothing to do with that? Why not start a post on that soley?
and the WBA dont even care about rules anymore
Totally agree...
Most other boxers would have been stripped in one of their divisions
So true thanks for the info...
He actually has never once defended the WBC title is over two years and only defended the WBA title once, a title he was allowed to keep while incarcerated.Comment

Rich people don't take plea deals that include them doing any jail time. If there wasn't any credible evidence no way Floyd's lawyers take a deal that sends their guy to even one day in jail. The only way that happens is if they know the outcome will most likely be much worse in a trial.
If they had nothing on Floyd he had the resources to fight it in court with the best lawyers money can buy or get a plea deal that kept him out of jail.Comment

[QUOTE=SilverMiles;16197881]What Da...Mayweather vs Maidana 2 was at 147 lbs, but the WBA & WBC recognized it as a defense of his 154lbs belts...come on this is just wrong. I wonder what was their reasoning for this desicion. Rather than complain about his wife beating escapedes, this is the stuff that u need to complain about.... nuff said.Comment

Over 90% of cases today end in plea deals. Its now become an easy, cheap way to expedite the court process. Men almost always get treated unfairly in the court system especially when the supposed victim is a woman you were romantically involved with. Floyd's lawyers probably told him he would get a slap on the wrist if he took a plea deal and his children wouldn't have to testify against him so he took it.Rich people don't take plea deals that include them doing any jail time. Don't be an idiot. People take plea deals because they can't afford the cost of going to trial. I come from a family of lawyers and you are straight talking out of your ass here. If there was absolutely nothing on Floyd his lawyers would have told him to fight it to clear his name. And even if he took a plea his lawyers would have been good enough to have no jail time involved. The fact that he accepted jail time says the prosecution, and Jr.'s legal team, knew they had a good case and would win in a trial. Again, rich people don't take plea deals that send them to jail.Over 90% of cases today end in plea deals. Its now become an easy, cheap way to expedite the court process. And also the fact that Mayweather won't man up and admit to what he did and just apologize.
That's the biggest difference between
him, and most other fighters that did wrong.
They grow a pair and say what they did is wrong and there not perfect.
Floyd just lies and say I did it for my kids. Bull****, you did it because you knew you'd lose the case so you took a plea.Comment
