I would pick Toney to win by a wide margin. Possibly even TKO. I think it would resemble the Jirov fight, which was a classic.

Which fights? He lost to mediocore or worse fighters at every weight class he fought in. Toney was crap at LHW.

Does he have any good wins there?

Like the fight you mentioned before. Wasn't that at cruiser for a fringe belt? I don't know if he was crap but as I stated he beat a ton of mid level guys, none that I see as good as kov.

No that was at LHW. Toney missed the weight by almost 5 lbs and still lost to a 174 Thadzi.

Who are these mid levels guys he beat at LHW?

Did he beat anyone in the top 10 at LHW?

            Ok. That wasn't 95 though. Wasn't that 97 or 98?

No I agree he didn't beat any top tier lhw. I thought all the guys were just average. I may need to check to make sure but the only name I remember off my head is Hambrick, and he wasn't top 10 that I remember.

I wonder why don't you ask for Toney vs Andre Ward?!?

              ... isn't Ward the champ and the P4P #1???

Hardly a "ton" then is it?

I don't consider anyone he beat at LHW to be mid level.

The only fighter he fought at LHW he was anywhere near good was Montel and he lost twice.

Actually people forget Toney was highly inconsistent throughout his entire career. And I don't mean because he was "lazy" or whatever excuse his fans use, I mean it's because he wasn't that good.

Kovalev is one of the most formidable LHW's ever already and would beat him throughout the fight. Add the size difference and Toney is slurring like Riddock Bowe post-Golota fights at the end.

I think your issue is my use of mid level. I am not saying mid level is top 10. I'm saying mid level as in the level of guys he beat is average at best.

We can agree to disagree on how good he was. He is likely a 1st ballot HOFer but I think it's fair to point out the low level of talent he beat at lhw.
