It's ridiculous that HBO is spending millions of dollars to give this guy to "look good" fights just get him to fight Kolalev. I understand what he did at 168, but that was 5 years ago. 5 years is an eternity in boxing and Ward should have been pressured to have at least 1 competitive fight within 3 fights from coming back.

Completely agree except for one thing that I've noticed about Ward. He tends to tire in the championship rounds. I've seen it several times, even as he was outclassing Froch. Kovalev carries his power late. He'll be dangerous from the opening bell and even if he's frustrated in rounds 9, 10, etc., he seems mentally tough enough to ramp up the attack rather than fold up the tent. It'll be an exciting finish either way.
