I'm sure they do, whether they are going to get it is another matter.

Problem is, Ward doesn't have enough power to keep Kovalev honest. Kovalev isn't going to be gun-shy and try to out-box Ward like Manny tried to do with Floyd (who had a size advantage)... Kovalev has shown he can box and win rounds even if he doesn't get the early KO...

I don't see Ward being able to dash in and out, trying to keep up on the scorecards, without tasting the bitter power of Kovalev. Ward is NOT a RJJ, he doesn't have THAT kind of speed, let alone the speed and power combo that Roy had.

Kovalev will keep the pressure on Ward, and outbox him to a decision or a late-round TKO... Ward doesn't have the advantage of a longer reach either. He'll HAVE to get in close, and this will be his undoing.

Great fight though, definitely a PPV worthy fight... Better than Ward/GGG IMO...
Kovalev should try to fight stevenson before, because after he beat ward that fight will lose steam.

        Ward Loses

I can't see Ward winning this fight. His rep was built on what I consider rather average fighters and he's been out so long I'd have to go with the champ on this one.

          Kovalev has a puncher's chance.

I wouldn't say average fighters. Ward has a pretty good resume. However, they were definitely guys who suited his strategy and gave him flaws to work with.

Kovalev has more power than Froch better boxing than Kessler and can be meaner/rougher than Bika. He would beat every Ward opponent at their own game and has it in 1 package.

I think Kov will win. Ward was/is the more skilled guy but he has been so inactive, he hasnt been fighting anyone near Kov's level in a long time. And this cab driver fest he wants to go on to prepare for Kov is a joke. I dont think he will be ready.

Ward and his trainer have said nothing about Kovalev.

It's not going to happen. If it did, Kovalev would Krush Ward easily.
no the third fight is Kovalev that's why hbo signed him they don't want what happen with Kovalev vs Stevenson to happen again

                    David Iskowitch, of Roc Nation:

"We are hopeful that Nov. 21 is the first step toward a 2016 showdown with Sergey Kovalev."

Ward hasn't signed to fight Kovalev.

Anxious to see Ward fight. See where he is in terms of rust, if there is any.

Ward is going to put on a clinic against Kov if he is still Ward
