My most anticipated fight in years

Unlike Pac vs Floyd, these are two guys in their prime.

Ward would neutralize the pimp easy, no question. But Kovalev is much more skilled. Skill, power, plus size...

Fight of the year in terms of technique and clashing styles.

Leaning Kovalev as I am not sure Ward will be able to deal with his jab all 12 rounds prior to Kovalev landing something big. Also, Kovalev took Pascal bombs (sort of got hurt, but did fine), not sure Ward has enough pop to hurt him.

Taking Kovalev as well by close decision , because Ward doesn't throw that many punches and he will need to to keep Kovalev from attacking him. Plus it depends on the ref. Will the ref allow holding and spinning and rough house tactics that Ward uses in the clinch. To me Wards chance is to get inside of Kovalevs Jab and straight punches and smother him. Make it an ugly and boring fight to watch.

Yeah, you can't really compare Pac vs Floyd to this.

Pacquiao was shorter, with a significant reach disadvantage--- not sure about the weight advantage but definitely Floyd favored.

This fight, Ward and Kovalev have similar height/reach, although Kovalev is heavier.

I'm picking Ward but honestly I view it as dam near 50/50. Excellent matchup.

This fight is comparable to Ali vs Foreman

Although i dont think Ward has what it takes to beat Kov. I think the power will be too much for him and Ward doesnt have knockout power to save himself from a loss

Too bad Golovkin was scared. We could have had Ward-Golovkin and Ward-Kovalev.

Ward hasn't signed to fight Kovalev.

He signed a 3 fight deal with HBO, Roc are saying they are "hopefull" that his third fight will be vs Kovalev.

Ward and his trainer have said nothing about Kovalev.

It's not going to happen. If it did, Kovalev would Krush Ward easily.

Rocnation are paying 2 million Dollars for every Ward fight, you better believe they want their moneys worth.
