  • Kovalev vs Ward

Seriously though, this should be an exciting match. Who do you think will win? I know Ward is a fantastic boxer, but he's still moving up to me the man of the month at Light Heavyweight.

Apart of me says Ward will win because he's that damn good, but at the same time a part of me thinks Ward will lose because he's moving up and facing Kovalev who has looked very intimidating in all of his fights.

I'm thinking the fight is 50-50 either way.

I don't know about 'exciting', but it should be a good match and definitely a good test for both fighters. It's still a year from now, and hopefully we'll see each fighter have a real test before their big fight.

Man, this is one of the best match ups foreseen for next year. Honestly, I don't know who'll win. I may slightly favor Kovalev, this minute, but that can change once Ward faces someone with a heartbeat. If Ward is anywhere near the fighter he once was, he can definitely win.

I think Kovalev wins it. Guy is huge and athletic too plus he punches ***ing hard. It would take an absolutely majestic performance for Ward to pull off a victory.

I see this fight 60-40 for Kovalev, but Ward could pull the upset here.

What is for Ward if he loses? back to GGG?

What is for Kovalev if he loses? "hype" ends?

We have to wait a year for this to happen? I'll talk about it in 10 months time, I don't have all that much faith it actually does take place.

Size shouldn't be too much of a factor.

                Kovalev:
                Billed Height: 6'0"
                Billed Reach: 72"
Last fight night weight: 188 lbs.*
(Officially 185 lbs. at the same-day weigh-in, reportedly 188 in the ring).

                Ward:
                Billed Height: 6'1"
                Billed Reach: 71"
Last fight night weight: 180 lbs.*
(*According to himself, here http://sfbay.ca/2015/06/21/andre-war...mith-at-oracle .)

If ward was the fighter he once was, he loses, the fighter he is now, he loses bad!
