Of course it is. Golovkin holds a win over Murray and won't fight Lara so obviously you rate Murray higher P4P even though he is **** average.

Murray struggled to beat Sergey Khomitsky twice. In fact, he looked like **** in the fights between Martinez and Golovkin which were all against bums.

Lara has a far better resume and far better results in his division. What significant wins does Murray have? Skill wise, it isn't even a contest.

Erislandy Lara would be the best fighter GGG has ever shared a ring with. There's absolutely no question about that.

We will see when the time comes...I don't think GGG wants to go to 155 but they will probably try to get it at 157.. I can't blame him for not fighting Ward who would probably beat him for $3-4 million when he can beat up Canelo or Cotto who are way bigger names for like $8-9 million...just makes no business sense honestly.

I remember Golovkin fans criticising Martinez for taking an "easy fight" against Murray after being off a year instead of fighting Golovkin

GGG has got to start taking the kind of fights that he is clearly avoiding.

He should be fighting guys with world-class skills, not avoiding them.

Pac was not overhyped lol...he beat world class fighters his whole career and lost to Mayweather who's the best of his generation...being second best doesn't make you overhyped does it?

He has only avoided Ward who's a weight class(now 2) above him, and probably the best fighter alive now that Floyd is done. And if Ward had Canelo-Cotto type fanfare and offered the same kind of $$$$ for the fight I think he would have taken the fight...obviously if the Canelo-Cotto fight wasn't a possibly I'm saying...

There are no world class fighters in his division and now none at 168 or 154-155 that I'd favor over him.... Lara is a good fighter but he's lost or had very close fights against every good fighter he's faced except Trout who he blew out...Vanes,Molina,Angulo,Canelo all close fights...his most impressive fight was against P Williams and he got robbed....he's made no case at all that he's any better then anyone else around his weight class...GGG mine as well fight the Charlo brothers or Degale or Dirrel....


I get all the second guessing of GGG because his opposition has been lackluster but sometimes you have to just see the talent and accept the fact that a guy has skills...if he was struggling with unanimous or split decisions against some of these guys then there would be room to room to argue but he disposes or top 10 guys and champions in spectacular fashion and add in his ameteur pedigree and it obvious he has skills....same way we can look at a guy like Errol Spence now and see in the future he's gonna be a really good fighter and maybe the best at his weight in a few years.

I can't see Canelo making 155 for more then another year..that kid looks big as hell... And in another year a GGG fight will be the biggest fight in boxing really behind maybe the winner of Ward-Kovalev vs Stevenson at 175.. Or wilder klitshko perhaps....

Spot on. Lara has talent but there's something missing in his character or attitude. Not courage, every top boxer has courage. And they all want to win too, of course. But Lara doesn't want it like Froch did, that's for sure.
