ok lets say golovkin gets all the belts at 160. whats so impressive about it since we all agree he has no competition at that weight.

no matter how hard you spin it, canelo and cotto at not true middleweights. did anybody consider pacquiao a jnr middleweight when he won a strap there?

a catchweight makes sense. them going up to full 160 is giving golovkin, the B side, an advantage because he has been there since amateurs.

the money is bigger than that strap. dont let sanchez fool you into thinking he doesn't care about a huge PPV payday.

as the B side, golovkin is the one that needs to make the sacrifice to make the fight a reality. this is how boxing has always operated.

all you can do is beat the people in your weight class. GGG is doing what Tyson did 25-30 years ago, Knocking out everyt f***in contender they put in front of him and thats impressive no matter how hard you try to spin it

not sure what this means - but if your saying Margarito didn't have loaded gloves - cmon. That has nothing to do with anything we're discussing here - BUT - you think Margarito just decided to use loaded gloves for the 1st time AFTER demolishing Cotto? LOL!

BUT sure they all forgot to do their standard checking procedures of gloves and so on before the fight commenced whatever makes the Cotto fans sleep easier at night, fact remains he lost!

well, if you want to say theres a difference being HBO backed, wouldn't you also acknowledge that the opponent makes a HUGE difference. Lemieux is not known to general sports fans the way Judah was 12 yrs ago. Lemeuix is known to boxing fans only - big difference. Judah brought name recognition to that fight with Cotto that GGG didn't have for his fight

I am a GGG fan way more than a cotto fan, but lets be fair - I'll ask the question again. do you really think Margarito just decided to load his gloves for the first time after utterly destroying Cotto and not needing it for that fight? cmon, use common sense

60k is terrible numbers for someone who is Puerto Rican, Cotto had all the advantages but I think people weren't bought into the hype like they are now and lets not shift it because its definitely hype...
When you mention fighters he fought you mention the surname to make them sound more impressive...
