He's just playing the game the way others played it against him.

"Cotto-Malignaggi drew 14,000 fans to the Garden. But HBO’s power was evident in the world of pay-per-view. Tarver-Hopkins did 330,000 buys, while Cotto-Malignaggi scored 60,000."

Woops, the hype train of Cotto debunked

Atleast GGG did 150k for his first ever PPV fight, 60k for a guy who is Puerto Rican those are awful numbers haha!

Let's not kid ourselves here. Not only Judah has already had PPV exposure from his bout with Mayweather, the bout also took place on (or around I forget) the Puerto Rican day parade. They capitalized on EVERYTHING and got 225k.

Compare that to Golovkin, who had no local (Kazakh) following, no big-name opponent who has had PPV exposure and had their event conflict with World Series and college football.

inb4 your 'excuses' statement. Logic is hard, I know.

just as there is a difference between the concessions one has to give to a box office draw (froch, chavez), vs. what concessions one will give to someone who cant draw ants to a picnic.

but its just excuses doe right?

unless Cotto gets a rematch with Canelo or Mayweather, GGG will obviously be the biggest payday he can get.

If he doesn't want to fight GGG, that's fine. but don't call yourself Middleweight champion then. vacate and announce your intent to return to 154
