    in no particular order:

    pac. just beat bradley.

bradley. former #1 at 140, has a win over pac.

kell brook. has a win over porter.

thurman. has a win over chaves.

danny garcia. no top 147 win but was #1 guy at 140.

    that's 5.

    all have a win over a current top 10 147 and has/had a 147 belt.

except garcia. but he just moved to 147.

Khan does not have the resume of a top 5 Welterweight, so no he is not. I would say someone else on the thread had an accurate take, he has the talent to where he might be able to beat someone in the top five, but he could also lose to someone in the top 30 Welterweights or so. He can't handle punchers or pressure fighters that are relentless enough or have good enough timing to get past his speed. He feasts on low power boxers and slower light-hitting brawlers.

Khan beats Floyd easy. It's not even debatable at this point.
        Ortiz...? As in Victor?

Wait Porter ? Chaves ? top 5 ? which top 5 guys did they beat to get into the top 5 ?

Bradley didn't beat pac no one counts that. Garcia has beaten no one at 147.

If you have to beat a top 5 guy to get into the top 5 Pac is the only one who has beaten a top 5 welterweight legitimately.

Same old double standards for Khan.

            learn to read.

4 of the 5 all have wins over a current TOP 10 WW.

            khan doesn't.

garcia doesn't but 1. he just moved to 147 2. he was #1 at 140.

khan doesn't have a win over a current top 10 WW.

khan was never #1 guy at 140 like garcia, bradley.

khan has fought the following guys at 147.

              julio diaz - a 135 champ 7-8 yrs ago

luis collazo - a guy hatton beat 9 yrs. ago

devon alexander - who was a factor at 140 4-5 yrs ago. but now has lost 3 of his last 4 fights.

algieri - won a 140 belt, only 147 fight was as a tuneup for pac who bounced him off the mat 6 times.

khan fought 3 washed up dudes.

out of the 3 only 1 was a legit 147.

the only 1 who wasn't washed up was algieri who khan went life and death with.

              no double standards. no hating.

khan hasn't done crap at 147.

No,, he is bottom half of top 10

                Manny
                Thurman
                Brook
                Bradley
Maidana/Porter would be my top 5 or 6, however you want to rank them

The main reason for this thread is TBRB's decision to rank Khan at no.4.

I hugely respect TBRB's rankings usually but I find it quite absurd. At one point, they ranked Khan over Brook, I'm really not sure what's going on over there.

                  Check out their rankings here:

                  http://www.tbrb.org/all-rankings/

                  Here's their top 10 Welterweights:

                  1. Pacquiao
                  2. Bradley
                  3. Brook
                  4. Khan
                  5. Thurman
                  6. Porter
                  7. Chaves
                  8. Ali
                  9. D. Garcia
                  10. Rios

I don't know how a win over a past prime Alexander, and an either-way fight with Algieri ranks you over Thurman, who has wins over Bundu, Guerrero and currently ranked no.7 Chaves. It makes no sense

Even with Porter, his win over Alexander (a champion at the time), Malignaggi and Broner at least equal that of Khan's achievements at 147. He lost to Brook, but the fight was competitive and pretty close.

His achievements at the weight are:

A very poor showing against Diaz
                    Outclassed an ancient Collazo
                    A whitewash against Alexander
                    Either way fight with Algieri

The top guys at 147 currently:

                    Pacquiao
                    Bradley
                    Brook
                    Thurman
                    Porter

(You can throw Garcia somewhere, given he was the 140 champion moving up)

                    Your thoughts?

                    Not top 5 WW

Yeah, it makes no sense. Top 3 is ok for me but surely Porter should be ahead of Khan!? Then maybe Thurman just below Porter and ahead of Khan seeing as Keith has beaten a guy in that list.

Also, has Garcia even fought at Welterweight properly? I don't see the need to have him in the list. Having him in at 9 is a bit random, it seems like he's been shoehorned into that list for no real reason. He definitely should be ranked higher than Khan as a fighter but not proven anything at WW yet.

Having Khan has high as 6 would be being generous to be honest.
