I'm a Thurman fan but I gotta admit, for a guy that loves to talk as much as he does he's been quiet as a rat pissin on cotton when it comes to this fight.
Huh? Never heard that before. Explain.

we haven't heard Thurman's side of the story yet

Damn!! ...... Is it just me or is it frustrating that Haymon never steps up and explains anything - at least he could have a right hand guy/lady willing to do the press work.

You're right. Benefit of the doubt unless this fight doesn't happen.

General consensus seems that Keith may be shook. I noticed how poorly he reacted when Guerrero and Colazo caught him, dude actually ran. That's when I ditched the idea that he's the next big thing. Doesn't have the mental resolve. Avoiding top competition would be the next sign.

Immediately after the fight, Thurman will call out all the top names in the welterweight division as he does after every fight against a d-level opponent, all the while knowing that he has no intention of fighting anyone with a pulse.
A bit hard that. I see him as a work in progress - as good as he looks he is still learning every fight so maybe his trainer sees him needing a fight or two more before he fights Porter. Not sure Thurman has been in with a pressure fighter at the level of Porter.

Don't know what Thurman would be waiting on.
This would be one of those big name opponents he says he's been wanting.
If not Porter then it better be Khan.
Are there any other fights he could get next that are higher profile/worth more money?

Did you just say he needs 2 more fights? He's fighting Shawn Porter not Floyd Mayweather.

I said his team might feel that way. It's because of Mayweather that such priority is now put on an undefeated record. If you put tremendous emphasis on an unbeaten record, as maybe Thurman and his team does, then you are not really going to want to enter 50/50 fights.

You seem down on Porter. Why?
