Lil dudes had nothing to do with it. Mares was damaged goods, so his investment, Leo, was relatively safe. Money is money big or small, a quick nickel is better than a slow dime.

I'll be disappointed if this fight doesn't happen. With Pacquiao and Mayweather leaving the scene, the WW division is wide open for fighters to take the throne and lots of good fights to be made and this was a step in the right direction.

It is not surprising that the fighter that all the gullible fans claim is being ducked is actually the one doing the doing the ducking. I would bet that Thurman's next fight will be against some stiff from Eastern Europe that no one has ever heard of or another washed up fighter in the mold of his last fight against Collazo.

Immediately after the fight, Thurman will call out all the top names in the welterweight division as he does after every fight against a d-level opponent, all the while knowing that he has no intention of fighting anyone with a pulse.

I think Porter was smart with putting the pedal to the metal with the demanding the fight etc cause I think they both knew haymon wouldent let it happen but now porter can look like the guy who wanted it and thurman looks like the guy who didnt, cause how can both call each other out and it not happen? that will mean haymon is blocking it. So its either haymon is blocking it or thurman is ducking and since Thurman hasnt said an official word on the matter yet its thurman is ducking.
Sounds about right - though I don't rule out a Haymon block. If Haymon is blocking it then Thurman needs to come out and say something quick.

Only excuse would be if Thurman is lining up an even better fight like Brook or Khan.

PBC just isnt about putn quality fights together. Sure theyve gotten fights that unexpectedly were entertaining but thats not what i mean, i mean quality fights that ppl actually want to see and look forward to...fights that are anticipating likr LSCMares, PorterBroner...thats it.

I find it amazing that every decent fighter from 140 to 154 can find good or great opponents to fight, except Keith Thurman. Somehow he can never seem to find anyone to fight him except for D-level opponents or washed up has-beens.

In spite of what the people on this site think, it damn sure isn't because all the top welterweights are afraid to fight him.
