    Mayweather-Pacquaio
    Gamboa-Lopez
    Degale-Groves 2
    Khan-Brook

The list goes on and on of missed opportunities of striking while the iron is hot.

May/Pac set a terrible precedent. If they fought in 2009 they would have made $20 million. Since they waited 6 years later they made $250 million.

Now guys like Quillin and Khan think that this strategy would work for them.

That is the heart of the problem. Idiots like Quillin think HBO will work with Showtime to make the GGG fight happen.

I agree with this but the consensus is GGG is the best so what does the trinket green belt or the "ring" title actually mean to him? I dont really think GGG wanting to fight the Canelo vs Cotto winner is for the belts, I think its more for the pay day and fame (future paydays) the belts are just icing on the cake, so I say let it marinate...

I would normally agree with you but there are certain fights that need to marinate a bit, Gamboa vs Lopez wasnt one that shouldve marinated, neither was Degale vs Groves because in all honesty these guys dont have potential star power. Fights like Canelo vs GGG is not only for the MW lineage, its for who takes over boxing as a PPV star. With the popularity that GGG and Canelo have right now amongst the general public and fans, I wouldnt want either to lead boxing just yet. Floyd (love him or hate him) was a household name, you couldnt/cant talk boxing without mentioning him, if GGG or Canelo took over boxing right now, I guarantee Canelo would be refered to as the red headed Mexican that lost to Mayweather and GGG would be the Russian guy who Mayweather ducked. Neither will be able to shake off the name Mayweather and neither has enough backing to hold them afloat as the top guy.
