Tell Abel to suck a mean one...I don't agree with the CW but at 155 Canelo whoops Golovkins ass. Gokovkib will be slow and considerably weaker...doesn't stand a chance at 155 and Team Golovkin knows that....meanwhile Canelo STILL stands a chance at 160.
Correction: GGG stops Canelo each and every time they fight regardless of the weight. Canelo knows this and wants no part of GGG.

C-Level draws still complaining. Take the fight at the weight your bosses tell you to and move on

While I agree with Abel, I still understand their position. They can claim WBC all they want but it's obvious they want the scalp that comes with it...Canelo/Cotto. Without the name Canelo/Cotto attached the WBC belt does nothing for them. Great! They can unify all belts a la BHOP, but, does that ascend GGG to the next level? This is all positioning for future negotiations, they'll take 157-158 and we'll all b*tch and moan.

It's interesting that you bring up Haggler, because he's a huge fan of Cotto's, and feels he has represented the belt well. Interview is on youtube.

I hope Cotto fights GGG, but theres no doubt it will have to be a catch weight. I hope GGG accepts, I think 157 is fair. The thing is Cotto is the money, if GGG doesn't accept the weight, Cotto will vacate and probably fight Andy Lee at a catch weight, which Lee would accept because he used to fight at 154. Andy Lee would choose Cotto over GGG due to the money. And that is a completely winnable fight for Cotto, which would result in Cotto retaining his Lineal title, becoming another world champ at Middleweight, and GGG would have to accept a catch weight because he would not be the mandatory. So if/when the fight happened it would be contested at a catch weight, better to get it over with now. Remember Andy Lee was negotiating with Cotto before Geale was chosen.

Sick and tired of these news articles coming from the same place.
