Think for a second as to what an abject failure Ward is as an attraction. American, Olympian, undefeated, considered by some as the #1 or #2 pound-4-pound fighter on the planet, yet his promoter has to pay a network to show his fights, he does 300k on free tv, and they have to give away free tickets just to make it look good in the arena.
And now he is looking at guys ranked #30 and lower at SMW for a fight at LHW, on an undercard no less.
You might want to stop with the GGG-Ward comparisons, because all you are doing is making GGG look even better, which I'm sure is NOT your objective lol

Anyone who expected at least a quarter million buys really must've thought highly of Lemieux then. I like watching Golovkin but even I streamed that shhh..i'll buy him and Cotto/Canelo but Lemieux? Not a chance in hell.

Those are not 'good boy' moments, those are fighting words.
He may be onto something.
But..... It takes a woman (Ronda Rousey) to show how to get it done. You gotta talk ****, but I think Golovkin will get there, its just it will take him a bit longer if he keeps imitating a log cabin....

I just realized something-I picked 300-350k, you picked 250-300k. You keep saying my choice guaranteed failure but we are right around the same number.
why did you select 250-300k? did you do that to guarantee he failed as well?

Make no mistake - Ward is still a far less popular fighter and is currently cherry picking garbage opponents for his fights.
Golovkin will be back on PPV within the next year, even if it's not against Cotto/Canelo.

I bought the PPV because Chocolatito was on the under card. If not i would have rather watched it on you tube the day after.
300,000 buys is impressive to you for Canelo? When he fought a legitimate opponent that people acknowledged? Keep in mind, this was after he had a 2.3 million PPV fight against Floyd.
Lemieux was getting hated on as a mid-tier fighter. 150,000 PPV purchases isn't too awful when you compare the two.
