Canelo never fought a real MW and he's vacating and returning to 154 clearly.

GGG doesn't need Canelo. And it's not even guaranteed Canelo will beat Cotto. I don't see why GGG should fight another middleweight champion at 155 though. 1lb above a lower weight class?? To be somewhat fair they could have said 158. That's compatible to Roach wanting Cotto at 148 for Pacman. Chicken $#!t for real.
Lol @ Floyd's weight class. Why even bother? He hasn't fought there since 2013 and should have been stripped long ago.

      3. GGGs team said anybody from 154-168
      4. They called out welterweight Floyd at 154 but why not Canelo? The money will likely be the same since Floyd would demand a 98/2 split.

Not saying I personally support this. But don't be a hypocrite
      there's nothing to drop to

canelo and golovkin both fight in the same division

do you actually buy that "caneloweight" bs lmao

155 is within middleweight limits and canelo weighs more than golovkin

this is just a runaround, wait for the 80/20 financial offer and el paso venue, i promise you, there will be more stalling and run arounds

Yes, he is for the following reasons,

        1. If he is pretending to be a JMW for not fighting GGG then why cant he fight there?

        2. He is fighting his 4th fight at MW(154.4-160)

        3. Why cant he fight a fellow MW at 160?

        4. His fight-night and walk around weight is more than GGG's

        5. Only reason that he is fighting at 155 and not the full limit in his 4 fights is because he is scared of GGG

he can't return to 154, he can barely make 155

He doesn't care about belts. Who cares what weight he's fighting at? He's not breaking any rules.

If be vacates the title why would it matter at that point?

He fights at 155 and fans pay to see him fight at that weight. Period. When he feels his power and punch resistance can handle middleweights he will move up.

So both guys have some cards to play ... Canelo can make GGG a star ... GGG can take Canelo's belt.

              imo we'll get a circa 157 catchweight.
This is fair in my opinion although i dont see either Cotto or Canelo going for it. They just dont want the fight and that's why they're making demands that they know GGG wont accept. If he accepts a 155lb CW to get the fight done then more power to him. I just dont see him going that low.

If I was golovkin in the situation,it tell canelo that the lowest I'd go is 158,and that he can shove the 155 right up his pale ginger ass. And even for the 2 lb catchwieght,I'd still be expecting a ton of money. If canelos people back away from the negotiation table,he gets stripped by the wbc,and if the wbc try to act funny and not enforce the rules,k2 can just take their asses to court.
