Are you serious you just keep making up Shyt and looking ****** when people prove you wrong. Hopkins and Stevenson didn't beef over the money. They agreed to the money and were waiting for Haymon to officially sign off and he kept stalling and details kept changing on their end. According to Hopkins they were stalling to try and let time go by to leverage hopkins into getting his belt vacated. And it backfired

Point is Duva filed a lawsuit because she claimed damages for a mega fight that was lost because of Stevenson backing out a deal. She ended up getting a better fight with Hopkins the guy who Stevenson said he was going to fight instead because that was a bigger fight then Kovalev. At that point she no longer had any damages thus no need for a lawsuit. You can't have a lawsuit saying I was damaged because I lost a fight and then get a bigger fight as a result. Like this is a really simple concept that you simply can't grasp lol And Stevenson looks like the chump for losing out on the Kovalev fight and Hopkins fight. He is now stuck fighting irrelevant bums on PBC. While Kovelev fights Hopkins, Pascal and Ward

GGG's father died suddenly, and he had to back home to organise the funeral and mourn with his family in Khazak tradition.

Quillin never even mentioned his uncle having cancer when he vacated the WBO title.

The reason he gave at the time was that there were bigger fights he wanted to go after.

Then he changed his tune and said he was taking time off to spend it with his wife and baby.

Then after his uncle died he started giving that as the reason. Sorry, but I'm not buying any of it.

Quillin vacated his title because Haymon paid him to do it, because he didn't want him fighting on a Roc Nation show.

"Kid Chocolate" Peter Quillin vacated his middleweight world title and kissed a career-high $1.4 million purse goodbye on Thursday.

The day he was stripped he released this statement.

"I'd like to thank WBO president Paco Valcarcel and his organization for their support throughout the years," Quillin said in a statement. "Winning the WBO world championship was a highlight in my career and something I'll never forget. This is a difficult decision, but in order to make the fights the fans and I want against my fellow middleweights at the top of the division, I needed to relinquish the title.

"This is an exciting new chapter in my life, and I'm looking forward to cementing my spot as the best middleweight in the world."

        His team released this statement
"Mr. Quillin has reviewed the middleweight landscape and is of the belief that there are other more compelling opponents for him to fight which will afford the boxing fans with excitement and which will afford him and his family more opportunities," Joseph wrote. "Please be assured that Mr. Quillin is by no means minimizing Mr. Korobov's talents or accomplishments. Mr. Quillin simply seeks to pursue bigger fights."

He only blamed vacating and turning down a 3X his career paycheck on his uncle's death months later when fans started bashing him for vacating because Haymon has beef with Roc Nation. That my friend is called damage control and spin. Everyone knows Haymon is the reason why.

Since we know Haymon isn't going to change because his cut is from the purse (hence the bigger the purse the bigger the cut) HBO is effectively banning his fighters.

If you can think logically for HBO, you can do the same against them.

Its about power. HBO played their cards, Haymon responded. If all you want to do is blame Haymon, so be it. You want HBO to be #1. They may get knocked off their perch.

HBO is preventing the Kov/Stevenson fight right now, same as they are doing the wlad/wilder fight and any other fight between Haymon and HBO affiliated guys when they sign them to network deals while banning Haymon fighters.

Is what it is. Eventually, the good fights will dry up for HBO stars. KOv only has Ward. GGG only has Canelo. Wlad eventually has to fight Wilder and will do so off HBO. KOv eventually will lose his belts if he doesn't fight off HBO.
Wilder wants to fight Wlad, but can't because HBO won't allow it!

          Bwahahaha! Nice one Dunnie!

Anyone else get the feeling that the likes of Golovkin, Kovalev and Klitschko are the real men of the sport whereas Ward, Stevenson and Wilder are wet, prima donnas who are ruining the noble art?

I guess you know Hopkins is also a promoter, which will lie for the benefits of his company.

Hopkins invited Stevenson to join Showtime in march 2014, to unify 3 major belts (IBF, WBA and WBC). Showtime put millions on the table to get Stevenson, while he and Kovalev had no contract with HBO. So after HBO failed to match Showtime financial offer, Stevenson changed network.
But 10 days after B-Hop won his second title against Shumenov, on 04/29/2014 Mama Duva decided to sued Showtime, Golden Boy & Al Haymon, which have no business with this non sign contract issue.
Kathy Duva created her lawsuit scam, to plot a settlement under table with Golden Boy for dropping this phony lawsuit in exchange of an unification bout between Hopkins and her protege Kovalev, and thus make Stevenson-Michel-Haymon stumble in the process.
Which is the reason why this Lawsuit got dropped the day after Hopkins and Kovalev reached an agreement to unify their titles. Golden Boy team weren't bright enough to realise this lawsuit was going nowhere, otherwise HBO would have backed up this phony complaint. But Golden Boy have taken the bait, due to the fact they also needed an excuse to reconnect with HBO.
That's why the Stevenson and B-hop fight never happen, Hopkins left...

And about Jean Pascal, he fueled a depreciation campaign against Stevenson using all forms of media at its disposal to force Stevenson to give up to accept a equally split purse, when he was valued at 30% by the WBC. While Stevenson was waiting for the WBC purse split 70-30, Pascal find a 60-40 deal with Kovalev and moved out of his WBC 1st position. Not to mention, to avoid losing the high value the WBC Diamond belt brought him when he left the Yvon Michel organization for Interbox; He, Greg Leon and Kathy Duva build up a plan to convince the WBC of positioning the winner between him and Kovalev mandatory to Stevenson. Which is how he avoided to get stripped from that WBC Diamond belt.

Anyhow, for team Duva it was just a commercial prank used to enhance the market value of Kovalev with HBO, as you noticed Kove team rejected the 2 purse bid the WBC ordered following their previous agreement. The first rejection was made when Kovalev had no contract, and the second denial was done when Kovalev was under a new contract with HBO.
Besides these "IN ADVANCE" excuses, it's a shame to witness how team Kove are preparing boxing fans to accept their 3rd obvious duck.
It's not a coincidence you see it coming too, Kovalev is fake...

Moved Stevenson off HBO and turned down the Kovalev fight with the excuse at that time being he wanted to fight Bernard Hopkins for more money. Not only does that fight never happen with Haymon stalling and refusing to agree to the contract and after waiting too long Hopkins instead fights Kovalev. Stevenson's TV ratings dropped big time from moving from HBO to Showtime. His last 2 tv ratings on PBC have been dreadful and he hasn't gotten a significant fight since turning down Kovalev. Stevenson is not a young dude he's pushing 40 and wasting the most important years of his career.

No doubt not fighting Kovalev has hurt Stevenson's career more then Kovalev. Since the time Stevenson backed out the fight he has gone on to fight and beat top light heavyweights like Hopkins, Pascal and once Ward's deal is official he will have a guarantee that he get's that fight next year. Kovalev is more relevant and popular now then when he was originally supposed to fight Stevenson. So his arrow is pointing up. While Stevenson's is pointing down he is stuck facing weak competition on PBC that does nothing for his legacy and gets killed by fans. Stevenson was more relevant and popular when he was fighting on HBO.
