word is that haymon was fine with the fight and trying to get a fighter that was on hbo in order to get back on hbo..but hbo wanted no parts of stevenson when haymon got behind him...haymon showed him money that hbo hides from the fighters...this is the reason they let him go and also bc he got floyd a huge deal with their rivals...haymon never wanted a pbc until he saw that showtime ratings arent that high..he was just fine with using hbo as a his platform but they weren't fine with it..HE ADJUSTED AND BROUGHT PBC

That's pure BS. The moment Stevenson signed with Haymon HBO and Main Events said they still wanted the fight. Both sides said this publically for months until it became clear that Stevenson was bypassing the Kovalev fight at the time using the excuse that Kovalev fight isn't a big fight and that they rather fight Hopkins for more money. This of course ended up being BS too because they refused to agree to the Hopkins fight. HBO never kicked Stevenson off the network matter fact Kathy Duva tried to sue Haymon at the time to enforce the agreement they had prior to Haymon coming on board. Stevenson refused to fight Kovalev and left HBO because of Haymon and no other reason.

How is Haymon showing him more money when the biggest paydays years ago were Kovalev, Hopkins, Pascal and he has not fought either. He has made good money fighting weak competition but has not made the big money that comes with either of those fights. I'll say it again look where Stevenson's career was just 2 years ago and look where he is at now can you really say his career is better off? If you say yes you are just not being honest. He can't fight the relevant fighters because of Haymon's beefs and his popularity has taken a massive hit. Look at his TV ratings before Haymon and look at it now and look at the level of hatred he gets from fans these days. Those are clear facts that his popularity and status in the game has fallen drastically.

Ward won't fight Kovalev, he'll fight Stevenson instead and just hold on to that one title like Stevenson is doing and never fight Kovalev

Not if Ward signs the HBO deal which has been reported. If so I expect to see Ward/Kovalev after Ward gets his feet wet with a few more tune ups.

Again you can't read he has a exclusive contract with HBO he physically can not fight on another network. Stevenson is a network free agent he can literally fight on any network including HBO if Haymon allows it. HBO banned Haymon showcase fights. You are smart enough to know the difference between a Haymon showcase fight and a HBO fighter facing a Haymon fighter which HBO has repeatedly said they will do. But in case you can't Garcia vs Salka...fights like that are banned from HBO. They will not engage in a bidding war for mismatch Haymon showcase fights. Kovalev (HBO fighters) vs Stevenson, Beterbeiv ect (Haymon fighters) they are willing to make.

Now are you are FINALLY admitting to what the real issue is. That's your opinion that this is a retaliation from HBO. My opinion is HBO cut ties with Haymon as a retaliation to Haymon trying strong arming them with overpriced mismatches. Regardless which it is right now HBO has proved they are willing to allow his fighters to face HBO fighters on their network. Multiple examples of this most recent they made the offer to Beterbiev and money was not an issue and Haymon still refused. That's my point it's NOT about money and even you admit it so stop saying it's about HBO being cheap or phony purse bids. That's all a smoke screen for the real issue which is Haymon refuses to allow his fighters on that network. Haymon has turned down big money and backed out of purse bids after he lost multiple times simply to not allow his fighters to fight on networks, promoters he has beef with it.

And I could care who is number 1 I want to see the best fights and right now I feel Haymon is preventing that more then HBO. HBO literally works with everyone other promoter, manager, fighter ect. Even if HBO doesn't have a contract with them they will work with outside en****** to make a 1 off fight. Haymon is the only one that will not work with HBO. At the end of the day it's hard to say this hasn't hurt Stevenson because like I said look at his career before he signed with Haymon and tell me he wasn't in a much better position then he is today? If you can think logically for HBO, you can do the same against them.

Between the pulling out of the purse bid and the VADA BS with Pascal, DUva has made Kov look utterly foolish.

A lot of the Kov faithful have been begging him to leave duva and go to K2. Even they know the deal.

but bigdunny1 hates Haymon so he sees everything Haymon does as negative.

HBO had a deal with Stevenson to fight Kovalev BEFORE haymon. Haymon turned down that fight and took him off HBO saying he was getting a bigger money "more significant" fight with hopkins. Problem is he didn't. And all the big money fights that were on the table years ago he still hasn't fought. Right now Kovalev, Stevenson, Pascal, Hopkins are the top 4 guys at light heavyweight. They are the hands down biggest names. When Ward officially moves to 175 he will enter that list. That means the top 4 guys ranking and popularity wise will all be fighting each other while Stevenson is on the outside looking in because of Haymon's beefs. As for things drying up for HBO? Right now on ESPN's top 10 pound for pound list. 9 of the top 10 are HBO fighters. Only non HBO guy is Rigo. And if Wilder refuses to fight Wlad that hurts him and his credibility not Wlad. He's the paper champ not Wlad who is the world recognized best Heavyweight in the world and future first ballot HOF. That's Haymon's problem he has a ton of fighters but very few stars and very few that are considered the best at their weight. The Pacmans, Canelo's, Cottos, GGG's, Wlads, Roman, Kovalev, Ward, Bradley, Lomachenko, Crawford ect. If Haymon refuses to let his fighters face the best fighters in the division most of them are non Haymon fighters that just hurts their credibility.
