Damn your double standards are pretty impressive. Golovkin just beat another middleweight title holder, making it look like childsplay, yet you tear down his opponent, and make it look like he just picked a bum off the street to fight him. On the other hand, ward is dragging some unknown Australian kid,up from 168 to 175 and what's your response? "Ward is fighting again; opponent doesn't matter at this point to me". As for your assumption of the odds of ward vs anyone at 168-175,I'm pretty sure that kovalev would be the favorite and by ko in that situation.

Smith and Murdock are no different from Adama, Monroe, Rosado, Ishida. Ward is fighting GGG-type of opposition because he just came of a long layoff. He needs two fights to go back to fighting beasts like Kovalev. It's going to be a great fight hopefully in 2016. Who you got?Comment

The answer is 3 years ago, his name is Chad Dawson and he was drained as **** when he fought the great Ward. We don't like catchweights, remember princess?
Ward can't live off the Super 6 forever. His resume in the last 3 years is a joke compared to Golovkin's.

Word on the curb is that Andre Ward is taking his minimum from RN (which is alot) & a 3-fight deal from HBO. Gets no PPV money. #boxing

Fighting guys like Smith and Rohan isn't doing anything to a fighter of Ward's caliber, especially if the rumors of him fighting Kovalev are true. The long lay off isn't an excuse, not to a guy who (skillwise) has a case of being the p4p no 1.
Not to mention he's fighting him on the undercard of the second biggest card of the year. That's just pathetic, no matter how you slice it.
Right now I got Kovalev, that might change if I see Ward against a decent LHW.
One can only hope, though.Comment

I doubt we'll get a better fight after Murdock, and if we do probably won't be that much better, but at least this means he ****** out an HBO deal and there's a good fight at the end.
Bad news, Duva will probably put it in Vegas and she can't get away from Casinos.... should be in CaliComment

They aren't. They have already lost millions by any reasonable guess from the outside looking in.
1. Whatever it cost to buy him out of the contract with Goosen
2. Time buy on BET
3. $2million purse to Ward for the fight plus other purses on the card (which nobody watched and didn't have a significant gate)
4. Another 2 million or close to it to fight on the undercard of Cotto-Canelo. However, Roc Nation will likely make a nice profit on this ppv so it won't hurt as badly.Comment
