Andre Ward vs. Rohan Murdock Nov 21 on Cotto/Canelo undercard

What Ward is doing is unprecedented. It leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
He is possibly the best fighter in the sport and he is fighting guys he would still beat if he inhaled a kilo of ketamine and chopped one of his arms off. It is a joke.
Staying busy is not enough. He is almost unwatchable anyway but even more so when the fight is meaningless. Now we have to watch Mr. Charisma clinch and maul an Australian kid who is probably in the United States on his gap year and has run out of beer money.

He needs two fights to go back to fighting beasts like Kovalev. It's going to be a great fight hopefully in 2016. Who you got?
Even then, Adama, Rosado, and Monroe are levels above Paul Smith who on a 2 fight losing streak and having been KO'd multiple times, is levels above Murdock.
- Adama challenged Geale for the IBF title after beating Karmazin and his only other losses were at SMW to Donvon George and Dyah Davis.
- Ishida just went the distance vs Pirog & Paul Williams, with wins over Kirkland and Canelo's older brother.
- Rosado just won a 3-fight IBF elimination all by stoppage on NBC.
- Monroe just beat Vera, Adams, and Kopylenko with only losing a few rounds.
Ward's in a position to fight much better opposition like Periban, Medina, Ekpo, Hadillah Mohoumadi, Maderna, Caparello, Sullivan Barrera, Yunieski Gonzalez, Nadjib Mohammedi, Vyacheslav Shabranskyy, Vasily Lepikhin, Maxim Vlasov, Cedric Agnew, Denis Grachev & Cornelius White - all would've been waaaaaaay better than Murdock.
There's no excuse for this low-level of a cherry pick. He's had plenty of time and has lots of money to work with.

Difference is GGG has been very active, Ward has not been so tune ups are the norm when you've only fought 2 times in almost 3 years
I hate how people nit pick with one fighter, but don't with others.....You cant have it that way.....it goes both ways

I love people who say that Ward needs a few easy fights before getting back to fighting monsters like Kovalev. Well the fact of the matter is this...
WARD NEVER IN HIS LIFE FACED ANYONE CLOSE TO KOVALEV!!!
Fighting these total sacrificial lambs will NOT prepare him for Kovalev or Beterbiev or Stevenson or ANY LHW fighter. This fight is a farce and HBO should be ashamed and embarrassed to have this on one of their PPVs. This calibre of fight belongs on BET.
