what was Monroe??? A club fighter as well.....he had no chance just like this guy vs Ward

There is no difference.....the difference is fanboys throw logic out the window when it pertains to their favorite fighter

Hell Kov just fought a non descript guy, Wilder did too.....the dude hasn't been active so let em work the rust off, those guys were active and no one was whining about their opponents

I guess its different for punchers....double standard

GGG haters ride Gennady for soft opposition, when in fact Gennady has faced tougher opponents than Ward has the last 3 years. This a step down from Paul Smith and that in itself is crazy!

      This fight is a joke!

Just stop, there is no way you can defend this. NO WAY.

And It's different with the Willy fight cause GGG fights 4 times a year. They are not all going to be high ranked contenders. It's illogical, they are not available or willing to fight. Where as Ward fights about once a year. NO WAY to defend this.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of the Ward fanboys. I'm a fan of Ward myself but this is just unacceptable. Ward is now a LHW while he's picking on an overmatched opponent from SMW.

If Ward wanted tuneups in the LHW division to prep for Kovalev, why not choose an actual LHW?

It's his second tuneup, that's not unheard of. The quality of the opponent is what I take exception to.

Ward should be fighting a top 25 LHW for this fight. He's more than capable and has more to gain by fighting a better quality opponent.

you sound slow....who is gonna come back after being relatively inactive 3 years and having major shoulder surgery without a few tune ups

some of you guys really don't know much about boxing. Its not often people fight a high profile fight after a long lay off and when they have they usually lose because they haven't got their footing back

                  Have some common sense

Fighting Rohan when he should be fighting Gohan.

Some of this fights are on YouTube.

He fights like he started boxing very recently, poor technique and slow footwork.

Ward will look very good against such a limited opponent, but what does it prove? How is fighting someone like Murdock going to help get Ward ready for top opponents?
