I will stream this if I remember it on Saturday. This mismatch isn't even worth $15.

I forgot about that??? No way I would miss that to see GGG KO this guy inside of 6 rounds (If that). This is a mismatch plain and simple! He's not even in the top 5 MW.

      1. GGG
      2. Quillin
      3. Alvarez
      4. Cotto
      5. Lee

This is really a crappy division. No way Cotto will fight GGG if he wins (Which he won't) and then Saul will need a couple of fights against true 160lbers. 2017 is the earliest Saul/GGG fight happens. Heck if the Cotto/Saul fight is good my $$$$ is on a rematch.

And how would Ward ever deserve 55%-60% of the pie? Because of his notoriety or his drawing power? Get real dude, you're boy last fought on BET.

I think alot of people passed on that fight because they didn't see Cotto having a good chance at winning after he already got beat by Trout, Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Margarito. Cotto/Martinez sold out MSG, but it was during the Puerto Rican parade weekend. Golovkin/Lemieux sold out even faster and is drawing all different types of fans from all over the country.

Cotto/Martinez sold out MSG at 21,090 and grossed a gate of $4.7mill. Golovkin/Lemieux has sold as many tickets, but even if we guess the ticket prices an overall 25% lower, that's a whopping $3.5mill gate (Ward/Dawson was $0.7 mill - **** off with 50/50 talk).
Don't know if you were serious with this post or not. Cotto-Martinez was reported 350k buys, which also went up against multiple sporting events that weekend including the triple crown, and Puerto Rico and Argentina competing in basketball.

As far as selling out MSG, first off GGG hasn't sold out all the tickets yet, there is still a few hundred left, secondly MSG seats just over 19k, Cotto sells out MSG beyond maximum above 21k, GGG is trying to sell out a seating arrangement of a little over 15k which is NOT selling out MSG.

GGG is popular in his own right, and he is coming up, but he is not yet near Cotto, schit he might not even be passed Chavez Jr yet.

Don't judge on the silly $33 million that IV mayweather had every fight......it's a bad effect on boxing....now it's returning to true fights and true purses....if it does 350 k it's a good payday for both fighters......what's floyds last PPV numbers against berto I forgot ? People will buy this because it's gonna be a war while it lasts

Jesus, why do you even try.

Canelo Alvarez is 10x more popular than Golovkin and he could barely crack 200,000 on two different PPVs. I expect Golovkin/Lemieux to sell no more than 75,000 PPV buys and I am being generous with that number.
Although true, Canelo doesn't do much better. I belt the get at least 200,000. Which is why that would be great for a first time showing.

What part of mandatory doesn't compute. Canelo has three options. Fight GGG, Vacate the belt, or be stripped.

Team GGG has made it clear they are not taking another step aside. And the commission has made clear, GGG gets shot or belt outright.

And Canelo is gonna vacate I'm sure, and try his hand at draining 21 pounds to fight Jr.MW, where he gasses out.

You can sht in one hand and wish about your mandatory all day long in the other one. Guess which one is going to happen. What's wrong with him fighting a couple of REAL 160lbers first??? ODH already stated such. He;ll be offered a CW and GGG can take it for some REAL $$$$ or he can turn it down and kick some more cans around for awhile...

BTW have you SEEN how HEAVILY favored GGG is over Mario Lemuix??? LOL!!! Is this the best can he's fought so far??? I would of rather paid to see GGG fight Ward or Lara over this guy. I can't even make any $ off of GGG! I have to bet almost 2K to win $100!!!
