It does. It's why Ward's career is a sorry joke these days. It's why his promoters just lost $2mill on his last fight.

Ward's desperate, he doesn't want to fight Kovalev and he doesn't want to make concessions to Golovkin either. It's why he sent a disingenuous offer to Golovkin that he knew would get rejected so he could save face. My guess is if he does sign the HBO contract, fights 2-3 easy LHW's, he'd then retire before fighting Kovalev.

It's funny how people on this site prattled on about the best fighting the best for years when it came to Mayweather (someone who has fought numerous world champions and top ranked contenders), but when it comes to GGG the same people have every excuse in the book for why the fight shouldn't occur.

That's why lawsuits seemed to be the only answer to getting to the bottom of it. The media people are useless when it comes to this. They're more into Hollywood gossip or fake wrestling drama.

You can smell a duck a mile away just as you can spot someone who is not interested in a fight. Ward is one. This is not rocket science. And I think the guy just wants to be left alone. The guy would retire any time and no one would even notice.

$2 million per fight against nobodies is not bad business in preparing for an exit and a comfortable retirement. I don't think this guy is interested in any high profile fight at this point of his career.
