Good luck to Ward if he sues him.

Doesn't really have a good record in the court room, even lost to a dead guy

Right now GGG has a lineup of winnable big money fight possibilities. Why move up and take an L that will kill that momentum? It's the May/Pac business strategy. Ride the money train until the fans get tired of it and only fight each other when forced to.

I like what Ward is doing. He kept his mouth shut, called their bluff, and is now moving on to face a bigger challenge in Kovalev. His inactivity was frustrating and not fighting Dawson at 175 didn't sit well with me but he looks to be headed back in the right direction.
its gone well beyond that comment they came out and said in order for the ward fight to happen they want 164 and 50 50 why would they even say that if they literally have no intention on fighting ward regardless of the terms? thats the part where its just like u know what they really are playing the game they are playing the manny floyd game the only problem is ward actually wants to fight lol. and i dont wanna hear no bs about who ward has fought yada yada yads they could both fight 1 or 2 fights thn fight to build it up as u will see with how many comments will be written here the fight would be so much bigger then people realize. not one boxing fan would miss that fight it would catch on like wild fire im telling u its not about money its ust ggg dont want ward no matter what he would rather chase around andy fricken lee

Well yeah, a guy big enough to fight in the light heavy weight division would be a fool not to jump at the opportunity to fight a guy in the middle weight division, just like Kov is jumping at the opportunity to fight Ward. Ward isn't that much smaller than Kov is but the point is the same.

The sudden increase in Ward-GGG talk sounds like Ward and his team may have demanded too much in the negotiations with HBO.

Exactly. Ward's popularity depends on being the best. So in order for his career to progress and to gain back the respect of the fans he needs to beat the best opponents out there. That's why you see him moving on to the Kovalev, the next head on his hit list.

In a perfect world he would've got this fight at 168 first so he could fight 2 of the top 5 p4p but unfortunately GGG is well managed and is looking for low risk, high reward opportunities.

well thats what they are referring to, k2 never called ward a liar about the offer, they just said the offer came around the time of the lemieux fight being finalized so they wouldnt take it, sanchez is on record saying ward is a liar and ONLY offered the fight after the lemieux fight was signed, that was just nullified when roc nation released their statements that their offer came before lemieux vs golovkin was signed off.

              sanchez should stop doing interviews....

I call foul and someone will be hearing from my lawyer because of false advertising.
"and has allegedly made the official jump to LHW."

                Whatever that means.

He came back after a very long layoff and fought a few pounds above his normal fighting weight. If you follow boxing you know that's pretty common.

Diego Corrales was off for two years, came back and fought six pounds above the 130lb and several more times at lightweight before weighing a svelte 128lbs. when he challenged Joel Casamayor for the junior lightweight title.

Floyd Mayweather fought seven times the year he won his first title, five times the next year and took seven months before fighting Emmanuel Augustus. He was four pounds above the 130lb. limit. In his next fight, he moved back down and stopped Corrales.

Even Roy Jones, after stopping Montell Griffin, took a somewhat extended absence (for him) and fought two pounds above the light heavyweight limit in his return.

So it's natural that Ward would come back heavier. If he finds it a struggle to make 168 and there is no chance of a fight against Golovkin being made, he'll move up. Obviously he's not asking GGG to come to 172 yet they're pushing for the fight so stop trying to thrust him up another division just because the thought of him fighting GGG makes some of you wet your knickers.

                  Ward's entire team is embarrassing.
Outside of articles and mentions on hardcore boxing websites, can Ward even be considered a public figure at this point? Good luck with that lawsuit lol

                      LOL, you sure about that?

"4. The statement must be "injurious." Since the whole point of defamation law is to take care of injuries to reputation, those suing for defamation must show how their reputations were hurt by the false statement -- for example, the person lost work; was shunned by neighbors, friends, or family members; or was harassed by the press. Someone who already had a terrible reputation most likely won't collect much in a defamation suit."
