Groves, outside of recognition in the UK and a chance to correct the sole blemish on his career, brings near nothing else to the table, especially after losing his three title shots.

Degale isn't going to take the fight for anything less than a 80/20 split of the pot, and Groves isn't going to step into the ring for a fight that big for less that a 40/60 split of the pot. stalemate.

If u so loath warm up fights then the target of your your ire should be GGG not Ward , as GGG has had at least 20 warm ups in a row .

U mean during the year long hiatus when Ward couldn't fight anyone due to contractual restraints ? Sorry to burst your bubble but many pretended to want to fight Ward during that time including GGG , but when Ward resolved all his issues where did they all go ???

Regardless of Ward's situation. The fight was offered to DeGale and he accepted. Ward has even mentioned it in a past interview.

Ward wrote the book on pretending to want fights he had no intention of taking:

Froch in the UK. Kessler in Denmark. GGG before the end of 2016. Kovalev any time.

Degale won his title away from home and is fighting Bute in Canada - which is another challenge Ward didn't want - next.

He won't duck Ward if he's offered the fight.

Well , if what your saying is indeed true , then Degale shouldn't have a problem proclaiming he actually wants
to fight Ward now or even two fights from now . why not make it happen , it's not like they both have a lot of exciting options .

                ^^ fu.king love this guy !!!

Unfortunately Froch ruined it for a lot of fighters ,who wish to fight in their backyard after his home town cooking of Dirrell . If my memory serves me correctly , Ward agreed to fight Froch in the UK , just not in Nottingham .

Gotta agree with Ward that Bute didn't deserve to just wait and cherry pick the winner of the super 6 as if he was so accomplished . Why didn't he just sign up to be in the super 6 and earn his mettle the proper way instead of waiting for a winner to emerge ? Furthermore , despite being undefeated , I don't think there was 1 notable on Bute's record at the time .

Lastly , since every time u post u NEVER fail to mention that Ward will never fight Kov , maybe u should consider putting it in your sig ?

Ward is fighting on the Canelo undercard and DeGale has a fight the following week against Bute in Canada. Surely you know this?

I think both fighters will want the fight but the issue is now going to be the management teams as DeGale is with Haymon and Ward is with Roc Nation.

I don't think Ward fighting on that undercard has been confirmed yet .
