Not sure why Andre CoWard is even a topic that is relevant to Triple G...

Triple G is awaiting to negotiate with the Canelo-Cotto winner... Why is a 172 lb BET-fighter who just fought Paul Smith even relevant?

Abel Sanchez really took Andre Ward to task: "He's a liar. He sent an Email after we signed to fight Lemieux. Ward needs to get some fights." Plus, Abel stated that the Email date is proof that GGG was already signed to fight Lemieux. Well, Andre Ward, can you prove otherwise?

The GGG haters will defend Ward

Dang Abel, no need to Cain him to death. Son of God just got crusified.

Seriously though, Ward has always handled this shady like.

Didn't he get offered a fight twice.

Ward wanted to use GGG to become relevant.

Problem is, then people see Ward fight and think, something's not right about the Son of God.

I still give the edge to Ward but he's not a 168 fighter anymore. Further, no way should it be 50-50, he's fought only 3 times in the last four years while GGG has almost fought 12 opponents in that time span, albeit not all challenging fighters but still he raised his stock up dramatically by being active. I would say 60-40 or 65-35. Nonetheless, if they were to ever fight I would side with Ward. Now Kovalev-Ward that's a toss up.

Exactly, Ward has falling off the bike and can't see to get back on.

Which is something Ward said he could directly prove.

            CoWard. I love it.

Just for the record: My take is that GGG beats Andre Ward and beats him bad. Once Ward has fought GGG, he (Ward) will never again be the same fighter he once was. Ward will be lucky to avoid being knocked out.

I think it could be a 55/45 in favor of Ward winning, but...

I'm not so sure. I'm not saying GGG wins for sure, but I think it's a compelling matchup (If Ward starts to rebuild his brand and fight guys his own size that is), and here is why.

Ward can certainly outbox GGG, but he will depend on holding, and movement.

Ward is longer and Bigger, so he'll have some advantages.

If they fight, GGG will have gone up to 168. Meaning he'll be stronger and hit harder.

Smith was able to land against Ward, and Ward resorted to a barrel roll type dance to get under Smiths follow up throws.

A stronger GGG could very well negate Wards holding and land shots somewhat often.

Additionally, Ward is doing all these tune-ups, word is for another year, for a reason.

I don't think he has the same skill set. His right hand in the Smith fight looked off, and the chopping punch would leave him open to some damage.

I say if Ward survives 12 rounds, he likely wins (unless he is knocked down repeatedly). He is longer and bigger than GGG after all.

But I'm not so sure Ward doesn't fold before 12.

Martin Murray tried to hold against Golovkin but he quickly wised up to it. However, as much as Golovkin can adapt so can Ward. I agree, if this goes 12 rounds I can see Ward taking it but he'll need to be at his best so I don't begrudge him for having a warm-up or too.

This fight will happen I'm sure. I know there are those who don't want to see it; misguided Golovkin fanboys and petty haters and faux-Ward fans go just use his name to bash Golovkin, but when this fight happens I hope they will be at the top of their game.

I agree, if Ward were to win, it would be by UD but even then, I can see GGG also winning by UD. a tough match-up for both, Ward has his height advantage but they actually have the same reach. Nonetheless, Ward has to build his name up again like you said and from what I am hearing he's heading toward the LH division; ”He (Ward) is working on a deal that if completed would have him on the card and as a light heavy. His days at 168 are done,” Dan Rafael via Friday ESPN chat.
