Doubt it gets as far as 49 nil since Wilder has categorically stated numerous times that he wants Klitschko's by the end of 2016.

You're right about Wilder's comp level, but I don't exactly see anyone lining up to fight Wilder either. Nobody has called him out at all since he became champ, and I mean nobody in the top ten.

Everyone is quiet. Deontay on the other hand called out Fury, he even tried to convince Fury on twitter to fight him instead of Klitschko before the fight was made. He stated after Dehaupus fight " I want Kliitschko by the end of 2016, people gotta be patient because we both mandatories (povetkin and fury)that we gotta take care of.

So yeah he fighting mediocre comp, but he ain't ducking the big boys either, in fact, the big boys don't seem interested either. Povetkin waiting till after negotiation date to take a voluntary when he wasn't doin nutn the whole time suggests that he isn't as willing as he made the public believe earlier when the negotiation date was far away. Jennings is quiet and Barmain Stirvirne hasn't pushed hard, if at all for a rematch. Klit and Fury are occupied with each other so can't say nutn bwt them, but where are the other big boys?

Why ain't they lining up for Wilder? The champ ain't supposed to call people out, he supposed to be called out. Deontay is calling out the 'real' champ Klitschko's, but nobody calling him out. Who's the one ducking strong comp?
Uh oh, we got a new challenger on the scene!
BWC, Scipio and company better watch out, cause there is a new contender slobbering all over Wilder's nuts, pulling the covers down lifting the moon and taking it raw.

Funny how you say you dont believe Povetkin saying he wants Wilder because hes fighting someone to not get too innactive and because the windmiller keeps picking fights at the homeless shelter.

But everything Wilder says is gospel.
"I want the very best. I want Klitschko."

The fight has to happen so I don't really care about this.

Didn't watch Wilder's last fight and probably won't bother with this next one either.

Wilder doesnt want the fight, he knows he is getting brutally beaten by Povetkin. The only reason Povetkin is fighting Wach is cause Wilder took a fight with the french dude.

You totally missed the point, hence why you are misquoting me.

The point is, irrespective of comp level, Wilder fought his voluntaries BEFORE the negotiation date that the wbc ordered. That shows that he intended to fight Povetkin as per wbc schedule and instructions. In other words, Wilder's actions correlate with his words.

However, Povetkin's actions do not correlate with his words. He says he wants wilder but chooses to fight someone else a full month AFTER negitiations? Dies that look like the actions of someone who wants a title fight to you?

Like I said, Wilder's actions correlate with his words, povetkin's dont. There was absolutely nothing wrong with wilder taking stay busy fights before negotiation date and you know it, but there is everything wrong with Povetkin taking his own voluntary fight a whole month after negotiation started, and again, you know this. Povetkin had a lot of time to set this fight up but he didn't, instead he orchestrated this so he can have an excuse, and now the champ is supposed to bend over backwards for the challenger? Please, what world are you living in?

Povetkin was always going to take a fight in Russia at the end of the year BTW.

It was already on the cards.

If both arent fighting eachother until early next year anyway, why not stay active and each get in one last fight before the year is out.

Would be a different story if Povetkin was free and was just waiting on Wilder and Wilder went and took another Voluntary defense instead.

Wilder's management will have him avoid Povetkin for as long as the WBC allows it, which could be a long time.

povetkin would have been free if wilder didnt duck him and fight that last bum instead. thats the only reason povetkin signed to fight wach. dont understand how many fans arent seeing thru the wilder smoke. hes doing everything he can to milk his title and avoid a fight with povetkin for as long as he can

Some people are ****** povetkin was always slated to take a fight before end of year in Russia, WBC ordered negotiations to start with both camps to begin October 24th wilder has every right to take voluntary defenses in meantime and since povetkin fighting in November he should be able to squeeze in one more with they fight taking place March/April

I'm not a fan of Wilder but I actually agree with this.

Regardless of whether Povetkin took the Wach fight because of Wilder's fight against the French guy it will still push back when they can fight.

The WBC should just say Wilder has to schedule it within a certain timeframe from Povetkin's fight so that both have an acceptable period to recuperate and prepare and avoid any further scheduling conflicts.

No matter what happens with Povetkin though he probably ain't fighting after Wach again until probably around late Feb at least. So why shouldn't Wilder fight if he feels he can in that timeframe.

Unfortunately though we all know it will be a minimum risk bout.
