LOL...Ward fanboys like it when he calls out a smaller fighter repeatedly (6'1" Ward v. 5'10" Golovkin), but they hate it when someone suggests that he should actually fight a serious opponent his own size! What does Ward walk around at? 190?
Enough with GGG vs Ward, How about Ward vs Kovalev?

The ***** chain theory:
Floyd is a *****, wont fight GGG
GGG is a *****, wont fight Ward
Ward is a *****, wont fight Kovalev
Kovalev is a *****, wont fight Stevenson
Stevenson is a *****, wont fight Kovalev
My theory is that these topics account for 50% of the traffic on boxingscene. Just pick one of the above and get rolling.

Golovkin built his name punching out bums, while Abel Sanchez/K2/HBO continued to shill him as the indestructible wrecking machine whom everyone within 20 pounds of him was afraid of.
Lara steps forward for a fight; Team Golovkin say no, arguing that Lara's name doesn't bring anything to the table, instead opting to fight Willie Monroe Jr, a fighter who just barely got his face onto even Friday Night Fights.
Then, the moment it even starts to look that Andre Ward may be on the verge of being able to earnestly take the fight, the entire Golovkin hype operations ****s a brick, immediately now trying to sell "getting all of the 160 belts" as Golovkin's new tagline.
Team Golovkin has now screwed the pooch, in their move to put Golovkin-Lemeiux on PPV; Cotto-Alvarez is going to happen at least twice and WBO champ Andy Lee is already looking likely three other fights that are better.
Golovkin is likely to get a decent taste of that PPV money, the only actual fights in the cue are barely good enough to get on regular HBO, and Andre Ward will be standing there, after a likely wipeout performance, on a PPV that will likely be seen in at least 700k PPV homes/parties.
With Miguel Cotto literally on his way out, Andre Ward IS the fighter that Roc Nation is seemingly building their company around, so there's no rush (Ward easily has another 4-5 years before the body breakdown starts to begin). Ward being south of 175lbs three weeks before the Paul Smith fight also gives you the sense that he's not "squeezing down" all that much either.
The moment that Ward gets officially confirmed for the Cotto-Alvarez PPV is likely the moment the GDF sheds that solitary Native American tear. lol
lara would be the most skilled fighter he has ever faced, by far. He played duck duck goose on that one. what a jokeComment

Whats Gdf and why would they a cry cause Ward is on the undercard? You mean yawn? Is the answer as ****** as the rest of that post? Both of those guys were A side to GGG and easily the best money available. And hell, Chavez at 168 is probably a better tune-up than whoever Ward fights next at 175 or CW, and Froch of course is Wards best win. That's a hell of a tune-up.Team Golovkin was more than happy to proposition Froch and Chavez Jr (who would likely walk into the ring for any potential fight at over 185lbs) without the need to "test the waters at 168 first", yet Ward at 168 is such an insurmountable challenge that Golovkin fans are insisting on warm-up fights? lolComment

Are you really that ****ing ******? Ward is considered the best at 168 so Froch and Chavez would be easier fights before taking on Ward. Is Kovalev such an "insurmountable challenge" that Ward can't fight him immediately going to 175?Team Golovkin was more than happy to proposition Froch and Chavez Jr (who would likely walk into the ring for any potential fight at over 185lbs) without the need to "test the waters at 168 first", yet Ward at 168 is such an insurmountable challenge that Golovkin fans are insisting on warm-up fights? lol
It's the same ****ing thing.Comment

Ward being the co-feature on a show that is likely to have over 700k PPV homes/parties will leverage him back into the "on the cusp of stardom" position that he was before the layoffs, at just the time when Golovkin is likely to be faced with a pair of **** fights to follow up the rushed PPV push.
No idea how the money is going to end up being split, but Golovkin going from a US/Canadian PPV fight back to a fight like Golovkin-Heiland on HBO, likely cuts that follow-up payday by 4.
Laugh off my statement if you want; when Cotto and Alvarez line up their immediate rematch, and Andy Lee goes with the Jacobs-Quillin winner, I'd hope you'd have the decency to stand by your words.Comment

Carl Froch was the #2 fighter at 168; to try and pawn him off as some bum that would've been "easy work" perfectly illustrates how far Golovkin fans have gone to try and justify their warped logic for ducking Ward so furiously. lol.
If Ward started calling out light heavyweights, with his camp running about how he'd trounce them all, he better be ready to fight Kovalev.Comment

Scipio you are pathetic. I don't even have to read your posts to know they are all ******ed brainfarts.
Building their company around Ward? Yeah since Ward has so many fans and so much appeal. I hope all you 5 Ward fans here on NSB buy a couple tickets each or Ward won't be selling out his own backyard.
Nobody even cares to see Ward on the Canelo undercard, or who is asking for Ward? Where are the Ward fans? That guy lives off GGGs name right now, the Super 6 was 4 years ago.Comment
