That's misleading. I feel like USADA now! Drinking, or rather replenishing fluid into the body for the context of weight requirement or expectation is misleading. People seem to have forgotten the golden rule of dehydration, and that is my friends, the general feeling of exhaustion. You can feel deadbeat for hours even after taking lets say 500ml of just Oral intake. The miracles of IV is the way the fluid is distributed into the BLOODstream. People have this crazy idea that going through the stomach and filtration and distribution of minerals is the same thing as an IV. Floyd is the A side. He can choose whichever way he FEELS best to go with. Why would he leave himself into controversy?
Anyhow, from first hand experience and the real world IVs are awesome! You can sit there feeling like **** and after the IV you feel totally different. Athletes can be dehydrated at anytime. What has not been concisely explained is what would an athlete do near an event. If it's not a high expectation and the athlete has gone through whatever level of dehydration he can just go the Oral route and call it a day, over exerted practice. However for a main event it would be more ideal to go IV for psychological benefit. It just feels better.
