But the winner of the WBC title has two choices... fight Golovkin or vacate the title. Fight anyone other than GGG and they will be stripped.

    It is no great mystery and no rocket science is involved. What is Canelo going to do? Sit on the sidelines and pull an Andre Ward? WBC is not WBA and they will strip him after 18 months as will RING magazine. So Canelo can sit for a year and a half and end up with no title at all in the end. Better off to simply vacate the title immediately.

    And vacating is as good as telling the world that Golovkin is too much for him. The only winner in the end is Golovkin.
    The amusing part of this is that you're ****** enough to believe it.

      Winner of Cotto-Canelo vacates and let's Golovkin fight another can for another title. Or he could move up and fight Andre Ward.

        And you are ****** enough to believe that Golovkin will not go to court to ensure the WBC title is not involved in any other fight. He has a legal contract with the WBC regarding his mandatory position and if you think the WBC wishes to take their chances in court, where they have lost before, you are a ****ing tool.

          this has got to be a joke, i know is wrong but wbc is corrupt, has always been, and they only care for what is best for them, dont take my word, just look at floyds reign at 154... he already retired and wbc still waiting to see if he changes his mind... how many years since he last defended his title at the full 154?...

            Funny to see fools as you on this forum who get maniuplated so easily. Ward sent GGG an offer after he had already agreed to fight Lemieux and you talk like Ward is making any viable offers. If anyone makes an offer, GGG makes it.

            GGG = A side, Ward = wants a payday

            Why don't you just educate yourself before posting?

                GGG and his promoters arent bigger than boxing, they try to go to court and can very well end in a bad spot on both networks and boxing organizations...
                golden boy already gave them the lemule fight, they dont want to ruin good relationships with other promoters and networks...
                at this point i believe the only ones that can enforce a fight are the networks...

                  Apparently you don't know the history of the WBC or boxing in general other than your daily worshipping of Golovkin and fighters that look lIke him to you.

                  The WBC will do whatever they want and Cotto and Canelo will fight who they choose to fight with or without the WBC. If your dumb, old ass, hasn't noticed, Canelo has even been allowed to create his own weight division.

                  It must be miserable for you to be nearly 60 with that level of ignorance

                      First off, Oscar isn't going to let Lemieux dictate terms to Canelo.

                      Secondly, if Canelo wins isn't he allowed 1 or 2 voluntary defenses as the new champion?
