Canelo nor Cotto can dictate weight in a mandatory situation, that isn't how mandatory situations work. Only if Golovkin or Lemieux decide to negotiate a price for having to come in lower could canelo/cotto have any power and I doubt either guy is going to come in 5 pounds lighter for a million bucks considering the kind of payday they'd get without doing it. I don't see Canelo holding on to the belt if he wins, and Cotto would fight Golovkin only because Freddie will talk him into it. Both would fight Lemieux, Canelo because David is a Golden Boy fighter and Oscar is going to want that event in house, and Cotto because it brings him a market outside of the U.S.

if you are in the same division, no catchweight ... if you are in different divisions, then maybe a catchweight

Lol must loving a fighter who's a can crusher! Chimps like Khan and Adrien Broner have better resumes than Little G. And I get all the same division talk but you're boy said anybody from 154-168 could get it..... What happened to that??

There a difference, that was two guys meeting in the middle, for no belt. Ward had Dawson go all the way down to 168, Ward has no room to talk.

Cotto/Canelo are supposed to be MW champion, but refuse to fight at 160. Canelo weighing mire than GGG rehydrated.

You really can't see the difference here?

And there are decent fights at SMW too, it's not GGG fault Ward is moving up, nor is it his fault Ward is fight tune ups until at least next fall.

You know dang well that doesn't mean taking bad fights. No money fights. Nor does it mean taking a fight with a LHW, Ward hasn't been a true SMW in a long time.

Like Canelo, he drains to make weight. GGG is a MW, small one. Canelo would be a smaller MW too, but he chooses to strictly fight Jr's.

But no one is saying Canelo needs to fight Ward.

Event though supposedly Canelo has a better resume.

Ward ain't have Dawson do nothing. Lol he offered to go down to 168 in his post fight interview. I remember Max was surprised to hear that from Chad. It kinda came outta no where. So that's that. As for GGG, yeah, he's a middleweight but he mentioned fighting anyone from 154-168, that made him a potential super middleweight. He even wanted to fight Froch or Jr at 168, when Ward came knocking, he b1tched out. Started talking wanting bigger money, he's the A-Side blah, blah, blah. Now when ppl hit GGG with that, u guys get mad and act like Golovkin is being avoided. No! He's getting sonned like everyone else including in Golovkin tried to do to ppl when they advantage is in their favor.

I'm not sure some can read. Everything is always one way or another. Can WBC goe back on its word, sure. Will they, I doubt it, not after repeating it so much lately. Last time they were asked, they became agitated and said its time GGG gets his shot at that belt.

These pretenders have kept it from him for a year.

Funny thing is, same guys hoping GGG gets ducked by the supposed lineal MW champion, all then turn around and nail GGG for not having big fights. They want GGG to fight a guy two divisions above him, who is bigger and longer.

BUT THEN THEY SAY HE ISNT GOOD. Really, so GGG isn't good, but they think he should fight Ward.

The simple fact they can't see that double standard is amazing, and down right full blown hater crap.

Lemieux would KO both Cotto and Canelo as well, that is non debatable.
I'll give boy that, he took the fight. De La Hoya is hoping he saves Canelo from vacating like a fool.

I will say this though, Golovkin went from ill fight anyone/anywhere/any weight to a business man like everyone else looking to use his pull and get the best financial deal. Even using the catch weights for specific fighters too. Then his ass kickers come on boxingscene acting like a bunch of savages as if we don't see right thru y'all.
Serious, because people straight hate on an exciting fighter. They are straight up willing to hope GGG never gets a shot at a MW unification. This kind of hate is bad for boxing.

it's not that, it's just Golovkins fans are ****ing annoying. They act like he's a throwback fighter but he's now doing b1tch diva **** like everyone else. Then his fans wanna act like that's not the case.
