Lemiuex would knock out both Cotto and Canelo at 160. There's no way someone like Cotto would take that fight.

Lemieux is a REAL man. While Cotto and Canelo, and all the top names keep ducking GGG, Lemieux steps up to the plate and says, hey I'm not a coward like them, I'm not scared. VERY FEW real men like David left in the sport.

Lemieux would KO both Cotto and Canelo as well, that is non debatable.

Golovkin doesn't have to wait. The winner of Cotto - Canelo fights GGG or they do not fight anyone at all. Golovkin can go on to fight anyone he wants, he can win the WBO title from Lee, he can move up to SMW for fights, anything he wants to do. But the winner of the WBC title has two choices... fight Golovkin or vacate the title. Fight anyone other than GGG and they will be stripped.

It is no great mystery and no rocket science is involved. What is Canelo going to do? Sit on the sidelines and pull an Andre Ward? WBC is not WBA and they will strip him after 18 months as will RING magazine. So Canelo can sit for a year and a half and end up with no title at all in the end. Better off to simply vacate the title immediately.

And vacating is as good as telling the world that Golovkin is too much for him. The only winner in the end is Golovkin.

while i agree with u i dont see ggg doing that. he has gone from triple g to money g he cares about the money more then the glory all the sudden so no way in hell he passes up a fight with cotto or canelo over couple pounds i just dont see it happening

GGG and his promoters arent bigger than boxing, they try to go to court and can very well end in a bad spot on both networks and boxing organizations...
golden boy already gave them the lemule fight, they dont want to ruin good relationships with other promoters and networks...

Apparently you don't know the history of the WBC or boxing in general other than your daily worshipping of Golovkin and fighters that look lIke him to you.

There will be less reason for Golovkin to fight Ward after Lemieux than there is now. Golovkin has two other unification fights on the horizon that are each much more important than fighting Ward. A Ward fight is important only to Ward and his handful of fans. It means absolutely nothing to anyone else and less than nothing to Golovkin.

The FACT is that Golovkin does not have to pass up the fight. It would be either Cotto or Canelo passing on the fight and vacating their title and making himself look like a coward in the eyes of the boxing world and every fan of the sport. GGG comes out looking like a champion either way. He wins the title in the ring or out of it.

is not about anyone controlling the sport, i just dont think GGG will be ****** enough to burn bridges and go to court, they will come to an agreement with canelo after he dispatches cotto, either a weight agreement or then give time(one more fight) canelo to acclimate to the full 160, i dont see any beef between k2 and golden boy and i dont think they will have a problem with this, but who knows, maybe the fight happens right away(may) at the full 160..

What, Canelo weighs more than GGG. Canelo is already acclimated. In fact, he may be better, because he drains so much to make 155.

And I doubt GGG is taking yet another step aside. They've already said no. They already if Canelo doesn't want the fight, they will take belt and move on.

Ok, so GGG either stays at Middleweight and unifies vs more cans or goes up to 168 and beats up more cans since Ward would not be there anymore.
