again, most of you didn't wtach boxing in '05. most of you were probably in grade school
it was also floyd's first fight at 140. cotto at 140 probbly had 10-15 lbs on chop chop corley. pretty sure they have fight night weights from that fight.
Most boxers get wobble when they are hit with good punches that they don't see coming. Very basic stuff. The Cotto that fought Corley changed from a boxer Puncher to only a Puncher. Once getting caught he resort to boxing and did a n excellent job at it. Same for the Ricardo Torres fight. He learned his lesson and showed in the Quintana, Judah, Mosley and so on.
Margarito Cheater
Paquiao - proved to be better, but we all know Cotto was not at his best (No Trainer only a yes crew)
Mayweather - proved to be better
Trout - You all keep denying it but that fight was very closed. Trout beat Cotto but in no way he was clearly dominated.
MArtinez - Most were picking Cotto to loose. After the fight 3/4 of posters here dig in what ever info they can find to diminish his win. In no way any version of Martinez beats the version of Cotto that got on that ring that day. My honest opinion
I know that your are very savy with words but try to keep facts intact.Last edited by Puya; 09-25-2015, 06:13 PM.

Cotto is my favorite active fighter right now. Love everything about his style. I give him an advantage in skill over Canelo. Canelo is the bigger fighter but the only way I see him winning is by stoppage. This is the fight I have been waiting for.

At 154 and above, Cotto is also at a significant size disadvantage (very visible against Trout).
Cotto is a bit stiffer IMO, and Canelo looks more fluid in catching punches with gloves, shoulders, upper body movement, etc.
I don't see anything Canelo does that attempts to emulate Marquez. Canelo has much better defense than Marquez, but isn't as refined with punching technique, nor as precise of a counter-puncher.
Cotto just doesn't do anything better than Canelo (I'll flip the script on what Roach said), and add that to the fact Canelo is the naturally bigger, stronger, younger, and fresher.

Anyway Cotto's loss to Trout is strange. It's like boxings dirty secret that nobody talks about much. A bit like the time i met my cousin in a club and ended up ****ing her. It just never gets mentioned again.

another knockout loss will probably end cotto's career.
Canelo will find cotto. But cotto has never been lighted out. Canelo won't find him enough to stop him. Is it possible that CAnelo can get a one hitter quitter? Yes. Is it likely? No. Case in point floyd fight.
