he does have a point everyone saying he hits harder im not so sure canelo does. i could be wrong but didnt mayweather say cotto hits harder then canelo or did he say canelo hits harder then cotto? i cant remember i do know he said they both hit like a ton of bricks tho lol

Trout is a non factor, if anything the Trout win motivated Canelo to take Trout very serious. Fighting Mayweather elevated Canelo's game b/c albeit controversial I was impressed how he fought a more determined fight against Lara. He refused to surrender something I thought he definitely did against Mayweather.

Now on the flip side Cotto looked good but lost convincingly lost against Mayweather and for the most part has looked great ever since. Whether it's a catch weight, ring size, trainer or what have you once you sign & step foot in that ring I don't want to hear about nothing else but a failed drug test.

Cotto v Canelo is a mouth watering fight but the hater and hardcore boxing fan in me hates that this fight is for the lineal middle weight title but beggars can't be choosers.

who honestly cares at this point lineal or not belts are nothing these days. some these organizations have like 3 or 4 belts in a single weight class. until one belt is considered the gold standard belts will continue to mean less and less to the sport. its a shame but as long as fights are being made im ok with it

here's cotto at 140, 1.5 years before he left 140 lbs, against a guy with very little power.

not drained, just chinny. he easily had 10 lbs on corley.

It was more than 10lbs, it was pretty close to 20. I distinctly remember the controversy on fight noght because Cotto weighed pretty close to 160lbs.

cotto has never had a great chin. it's not glass, but it is not great. it's vulnerable. miguel cotto can be hurt and made to back up / cower. i'm not sure how long you've been watching boxing, frankly.


canelo is a markedly larger man, has fought markedly larger men, and has taken what they've had to offer.

If the fight goes the distance which I highly doubt it will be Margo Cotto all over again!

Cotto has quit twice before and hAs a new boxing life with Roach! He was so dead in the water after Pac and Jr took advantage like the vulture he is and like always took advantage of a beaten fighter, beat Cotto but now with Roach would chase little Jr down and clip him with that renewed left hook and jr would be KO'd. Canelo will have had to make changes since his fight with Jr and PRESS Cotto like Margo did and "IF" he does He can make Cotto take the Knee!
