1 the fights are rarely shown in the u.s. so most are unknown.

most ranked get there by winning a belt but those who have belts don't fight each other. not enough money to risk unification.

3rd most fighters don't stay in the divisions long enough.

but you can't compare 105-112 to heavy.

    1. talent pool is deeper. more 5'2-5'4 guys out there than 6'2-6'4 guys. especially in latin america and asia.

also take amateur background. look at all the countries with medals 105-112.

heavyweight is what usually cuba and ex-soviet countries?

    2. another thing 105-112 guys have is they're usually younger and better shape. hard to make 105-112 when you're old and don't train hard.
1- false....i already ran the numbers.....

105-108 combined dont have as many boxers as heavyweight.....

105 has a pitifully small number of boxers and 108 follows......

    112- is fourth lowest numbers

amaetur background? yeah about 10 guys, the rest are asian full time fishermen....developed countries=more time to actually train, just logic.

2- i already said the top fighters in lower weights are well conditioned solid pros........and that's it.....no special effects, no talent, no strategy...

and thats comparing to the hws who are a joke division.....

flyweight=lowest division that has ever mattered.

recent lower weight people who Ive mantained were absolute **** or completely overrated when they were rated as p4p by hipsters of boxing:

        calderun
        hasegawa
        moreno
        wonkongjam
        yamanaka

All showed signs of being non worthy before and people had to accept it eventually.....I don't rate Gonzalez as lowly as I did those guys, but he also isn't the best fighter in boxing, not even close...accomplished little dude with power and technique. Not the best out there. Though i wouldn't complain about him being rated in the top 3 if he unifies flyweight....with the way the other divisions are playing out with everyone ducking and untested guys unabe to prove their worth.

even finito is overrated, quit after a cut, neevr fought the most talented fighters just a weightclass up.

for ****s sake, minimum weights talent pool is more comparable to womens boxing
          that says it all.

i really find that hard to believe.

they're probably not listing a lot of guys from asian or latin american countries.

also guys leave 105-108 a lot to move up and smaller guys have shorter careers.

heavies stay in there division and have longer careers.

they get highly overrated because they stay champ and undefeated a long time.

knowing how that gets overrated, then it's understandable how roman got #1. he's 43-0 and a form of champ for 7-8 yrs.

P4P is who is the best right now, who wins head to head, if everyone was the same size.

It's not who is GREATEST or has BEST RESUME.

                  Example:

If Roman was 6 foot 7 245 lbs. and you translated his power, speed at Flyweight over to Heavyweight, would he beat current Wlad?

If Wlad was 5 foot 4 112 lbs. and you translated his power, speed at Heavyweight to a Flyweight, would he beat Roman at 112?

Wlad could be #1 he's still a sharp fighter and intelligent. He's gotten through guys who have varied and "earned," to a degree, their shot at a guy with all the belts. He's also become the second longest reigning Heavyweight Champion during his reign with the third most title defenses.

Povetkin, Pulev, and Jennings are recent good wins. Tony Thompson is still a top heavyweight too. Imagine he beats Fury and Wilder? He could retire on that with no questions. Joshua, Parker, Browne, and Glazkov are just deserts.

                    i don't care if roman is #1. i don't even have a P4P list.

i'm just pointing out Roman's case for it.

RING and ESPN among others has him 1. there's a reason for it.

yes. and none of it is righteous or even fcking close to being justified.

HE DOES NOT HAVE A RIGHTFULLY CLASSIFIED GREAT FIGHTER ON HIS RESUME.

You cannot have the torch bearer of the sport which is basically what p4p #1 in the entire sport is and have that mark on you. Being 112lbs doesnt help either.

Im willing to let it go if he can fluently speak english.

Can Roman Gonzalez speak english fluently?

If yes, i wont post another post about him.
