Cotto is a good fighter but dry and boring as hell personality wise. How he is considered such a big draw I'll never know.And his diva like demands in the negotiations with Alvarez and getting the lion's share for supposedly being the "A"side is ridiculous.Cotto couldn't bring in 30,40 thou in any stadium,even back home.

Cotto is one of the best fighters that will give you **** for the buck.

Rarely in a boring fight.

Takes a risky fight every once in a while.

Gave Margarito a fight when majority wouldn't take the risk.

Floyd was scared when confronted by Margarito, Cotto took the fight even though he lost the first fight(yes, he made tons of mistakes that he corrected in the rematch).

He should be on the P4P list because he's done more than some guys on there.

Top 10 of this generation. A hater wouldn't even have him there.

Very well skilled offensively, one of the best offensive fighters in the world. He has pretty good timing and underrated speed.

Give him props for donating to help fight cancer.

Would of favored Cotto over Mayweather in his prime. I would of cheered for him just like I did when he fought him. Floyd waited for him to lose to Pac and Margs. Floyd is like a hyena, a fucking scavenger.

Cheered for Cotto in him vs Pac(a boxer who really earned my respect the hard way).

Thought he won vs Clottey/Mosley, fights that many people thought he lost.

Cotto is like the Drew Brees of boxing. A great player in his own right, but his supporters overreach when they insist his name be mentioned in the same breath with the true ATGs of his era (Manning/Brady).

He's closer to the Ken Norton of his era then Ali/Frazier. But his fans don't seem to accept that.

His peers and industry journalists have already made that distinction, and they are the ones who will cast that vote when it comes up.

And since when has survival been a bad attribute in a fighter? The term, live to fight another day, doesn't seem to have a place among the young knuckleheads these days. They'd rather a guy die in the ring, or get permanently damaged, instead of back peddling or clinching when necessary? I'm a Cotto fan, but I can respect those who have well thought out criticism of him. Nothing wrong with differences of opinion. It shows all true boxing fans have knowledge... but some things appeal differently to some than others. I don't call everyone who criticizes Cotto a hater.

As far as haters go, the one who sticks out the most on this particular thread is the guy with the gay Hulk Hogan avatar. He's a fighter that deserves respect and isn't scared of anyone but you cross the line saying he is a rare breed of fighter because of it. You are either ignorant to the sport of boxing or trolling.
