no sanctioning body ranks other sanctioning body champions. They dont do it because its a waste of time. Those fights can get done as a unification, so trying to make them a mandatory is pointless. And the one time in recent history that they did (Kovalev-Stevenson) it didnt make that fight happen either....................

A couple of good wins... he cleaned out a division chocked full of world class talent, beat Dawson, took on a top 10 guy at 168, and then sat out 20 months admittedly because of his own ego. Since he's come back, he's fought 1 tuneup, and is already in talks to fight Kovalev some time down the line.

People on this site complain about the best not fighting the best, but then make excuses when there's a guy actually doing it. What the hell else could you want out of a fighter? Ward consistently fights the best fighters he can, but you give him **** because he fought a bum after a 20 month layoff? Then on the other hand, you celebrate a guy who has like 2 legit wins but has been fighting for the same amount of time? I just can't wrap my head around that :/

I'm singing him praises because of his accomplishments so far. Fighting the best used to be a thing you could praise a fighter for, but nowadays people care more about how much a fighter is making than the world class talent that fighter has beaten :/

I don't have a fucking clue what you are going on about there. You obviously have me confused with someone else who must also have tried to explain the relationship between weight limits and weight divisions to you.

Here's how it works: WW is above 140lbs and below 147lbs. So a fight with a weight limit of 141lbs is at WW.

MW is above 154lbs and below 160lbs, so Cotto vs Canelo, at a catchweight of 155lbs will be a MW fight.

Even if you couldn't figure that out for yourself, I would have thought the fact that it is being billed as a world middleweight title fight would have been enough of a clue for anybody, even a ****wit like you.
