Ward can't even make 168! And on top of that he has not fought anyone in what has been several years now(Yes more than two is several), DAMN! Ward is basically a Light Heavy, go fight Stevenson or Kovalev!

Ward is a has been. He is a guy who had a couple of good years in the ring because of a tournament where he had all the advantages possible. Since then he has done nothing and still expects to be treated like the king of boxing. When Ward gets off his ass and has a few fights against real contenders or takes on a couple of other SMW title holders, then and only then can he start thinking he can set terms against a fighting champion from another division, especially a lower division.

He was a huge underdog and a rank outsider

When Ward gets off his ass and has a few fights against real contenders or takes on a couple of other SMW title holders, then and only then can he start thinking he can set terms against a fighting champion from another division, especially a lower division.

A couple of good wins... he cleaned out a division chocked full of world class talent, beat Dawson, took on a top 10 guy at 168, and then sat out 20 months admittedly because of his own ego. Since he's come back, he's fought 1 tuneup, and is already in talks to fight Kovalev some time down the line.

People on this site complain about the best not fighting the best, but then make excuses when there's a guy actually doing it. What the hell else could you want out of a fighter? Ward consistently fights the best fighters he can, but you give him **** because he fought a bum after a 20 month layoff? Then on the other hand, you celebrate a guy who has like 2 legit wins but has been fighting for the same amount of time? I just can't wrap my head around that :/

It's not worthless, you're just dumb as usual and don't know **** about boxing. Makes him first 4 division PR champ, has him ranked above GGG in every decent ranking, gives him far more leverage in negotiations. It's why he's making his career best purse next, by far.
