Team Golovkin agreed to 50/50.

Team Golovkin demanded a catchweight they know Ward cannot make.

You guys are using completely different excuses than Golovkin is using.

Team Golovkin know that the financial package can be negotiated, and that it will not be a show-stopper because of Roc Nation..... the catchweight demand was intended to kill any discussion about that fight, which is why Team Golovkin refused to negotiate, even though Froch/Chavez are both bigger than Ward.

Ward needs to make a generous offer that Golovkin would look foolish to refuse. If RN back a $10 mill guarantee or something major, it would go through or cause massive backlash. Instead they made an offer after Golovkin/Lemieux was announced at 50/50. This is how the fight will get made. If you really want the fight, then you have to understand this. Ward can't play diva and demand ****.

Don't play, you know Golovkin's 50/50 offer came with the 164 cw, meaning if you move up the lbs, you in turn readjust the money ratio. Ward's whole thing in that video was Golovkin's front'n the fans, but Ward was the one front'n claiming he met the demands and that the offer came before the Lemieux fight was announced. That was sad and pathetic. Make a real offer man.

Why didn't Ward make the offer after Golovkin beat Murray and Ward had just signed with RN??? They were both free for it then!

Two weeks ago, when Able Sanchez stated that Golovkin would KO Ward easily, and that they were not interested in knocking out Ward easily, because that would make it too difficult to get good opponents in the future..... one thing should have happened, and one thing did happen.....

The thing that did happen is..... they made me want to see that fight more than any other.

But his "personal goals" are bull****. Not trying to be a d1ck. And believe me, I understand the business of boxing. That's why I have ZERO issues with Gennady prioritising the Cotto-Canelo winner over Ward. Boxing is a business. And sometimes the bigger money fight isn't always the best fight. Very similar to Floyd fighting Oscar and Hatton in 2007 over more desired opponents within the hardcore community like Cotto, Williams,Margarito, or Mosley. I get that. But prioritising a couple C class bums like Lemieux and Lee over Ward. When in reality, Ward offers a bigger payday is bonafide horse****. And putting "unification" on the fight poster doesn't change anything.

I agree. Golovkin will never get a fight with Cotto or Alvarez because: 1) Oscar won risk putting Alvarez in the ring with Golovkin for the same reason that GGG's promoter won't risk putting him in the ring with Ward, and 2) Cotto will not fight Golovkin because he can make just as much money fighting another opponent with less risk.
The Andy Lee fight will never happen because Al Haymon has other fighters at 160 that he can put in the ring against Lee. GGG classifying Lemieux as a priority over Ward is BS because he would probably make just as much fighting Ward on regular HBO as he would fighting Lemieux on PPV.

Even though a Cotto/Alvarez fight won't happen, Golovkin's team will continue to make excuses to avoid a fight with Ward. GGG's team is scared of Ward. That is the pure and simple truth.

You are badly missing the point, you need to move on.

The purse is not the issue, never has been, and never will be.

Neither are A-side, they could just fight.

What Abel said was cringe worthy, just like when Ward said the exact same thing about Kovalev.

I want the fight more than any other as well. But I have a life time of not seeing awesome fights not happen and it's all about the numbers. The last guy said back in the day, with Jones/Toney - ****, so many great fights never happened back then because of the numbers. It's always been that way. Greb never got a fight with Wilson for years, til the numbers made sense. Hagler never got his MW title shot til the numbers (thanks to Bob Arum) finally got right. Fans will always b*tch about the risk/reward ratio, but it's a reality.

If Ward wants this fight, he's got to give in and make the number right. The pressure should be on Andre right now to do that first. Even now, Ward's trying to demand a piece of the ppv from Canelo/Cotto, that's how ****ed up this guy is. He's killing his own career...

This is a great example of projection! GGG's first and, likely, only PPV will sell less than 100,000 buys. Chris Algieri is a bigger PPV star than Golovkin.

Isn't that the same with your lover Kell Brook, uses Khan's name to sell every last one of his bum fights and I'm pretty sure Brook has been doing that longer than two years it makes him almost as pathetic as Ward chasing after smaller men because he knows he'd get his ass beat when he fights the real top dogs.

Kell Brook fought a man who was favourite to beat him, away from home. That's something you will never see Andre Ward doing.
