You don't get it, and likely never will. 75% (amd that's probably low) of GGG's fans are hardcore fight fans. THEY FOLLOW BOXING!!!! They're gonna order any big fight. So unless you pair GGG with a star bigger than himself. You're likely looking in the neighborhood of 300K PPV buys. There's a percentage of the hardcore fan base that's not gonna order fights like Lemieux or Lee or any other middleweight, that would order Ward. Sp saying Ward brings nothing to the table is wrong. He's gonna bring in that percent of the hardcore fan base that GGG can't attract fighting the fighters he's fighting. So yes, Ward will take more than those guys. Because he brings more than those guys.

Ward brings more, but he takes more and that's my point. If Ward wants to force this fight, he just has to give in to the financial terms rather than acting like a diva and demanding parity. Ward has no options, that means he has no leverage. He's a like drowning man making demands to people in a boat.

Let's see after Oct 17th what Golovkin draws for his supposed one-sided fight with Lemieux and see if he's an A-side.

Beating Cotto/Canelo is a great for his career and it's also a great action packed fight. Golovkin has made it clear what he wants to do with his career, unifying is important to him, and right now he's got unifications lined up 2-3 fights ahead. Why would I worry about him fighting Ward right now when they can meet after Golovkin has accomplished what he wanted with his middleweight reign?

For me to say it's the fight I want the most would be to say I'd want Golovkin to throw away unifying the MW division and letting the winner of Cotto vs Canelo potentially slip away. Who in their right mind would want Ward over that?

I want the two to fight, but I'm in no rush for it, because as a fan I'd like to see Gennady accomplish his own personal goals in boxing first.

But his "personal goals" are bull****. Not trying to be a d1ck. And believe me, I understand the business of boxing. That's why I have ZERO issues with Gennady prioritising the Cotto-Canelo winner over Ward. Boxing is a business. And sometimes the bigger money fight isn't always the best fight. Very similar to Floyd fighting Oscar and Hatton in 2007 over more desired opponents within the hardcore community like Cotto, Williams,Margarito, or Mosley. I get that. But prioritising a couple C class bums like Lemieux and Lee over Ward. When in reality, Ward offers a bigger payday is bonafide horse****. And putting "unification" on the fight poster doesn't change anything.

What financial terms ?

Team Golovkin agreed to 50/50.

Team Golovkin demanded a catchweight they know Ward cannot make.

You guys are using completely different excuses than Golovkin is using.

Team Golovkin know that the financial package can be negotiated, and that it will not be a show-stopper because of Roc Nation..... the catchweight demand was intended to kill any discussion about that fight, which is why Team Golovkin refused to negotiate, even though Froch/Chavez are both bigger than Ward.

An A-side is a proven established PPV star.

There are about 4 of them on the planet, with about half-a-dozen more lower-level earners.

A-side discussion is relevant when referring to that small handful of fighters, nobody else.

Team Golovkin using that a-side excuse is weak shht imho.
