For those that talk about how Ward is far too big for Golovkin, Kovalev on average weighs in around 190 lbs on fight night whereas Ward weighs in around 175 lbs. That's a 15 pound difference as opposed to the 5 pound difference between Golovkin and Ward.
Ward does not weigh 175. He has even admitted he walks around at 180. Ward hides his rehydration weight. He is easily 185-190 rehydrated. Heck, he weighed in at 172 his last fight. You mean to tell me you believe Ward rehydrates 3 pounds. But GGG rehydrates 13. Since GGG weighed 157 last weigh in.

I don't hate Ward, I just think dude is desperate, can't give away tickets, and is hoping GGG is nice a fights him for peanuts.

I don't like Wards style, but I'll admit was was good. But two years and an injury later can change a lot.

Ward is trying to Khan GGG into a fight. Didn't work for Khan, and it won't for Ward.

Ward fought LHW in Olympics, but tried to drain and come out a MW, but he ******. He then went to SMW, and cleaned up.

He had Dawson come down to 168, cause Ward was A-side.

But he refuses a 164 catch weight when he clearly is no longer a-side.

      He lost his P4P status.

Yea they just changed that, I'm better it was a mistake because they took Floyd off. I can't imagine they took it from Ward only to give it back after he fought one out of shape bum.

Has anyone done anything better than clean out a division of killers in the last 4 years? Pound for pound is based on accomplishments, and no one is accomplishing anything. Damn fighters won't even get in the ring with each other most of the time :/

If that was their logic, then why did they strip in, because he has done nothing since they stripped it. I'm thinking something isn't right about that.

They'd be the only ones giving him that.

I figured they took him off because he wasn't an active fighter. Now that he's back, maybe they're ranking him where they had him originally. In any case, he still has a better resume than most guys on the pound for pound list, and he's been gone for ages.

What's funny is ring doesn't have Ward a top the SMW, or LHW, but somehow he is 2# on P4P, like magic. Maybe they needed some traffic to their site.

They took him off because of activity and quality of opposition. Neither of those has changed. He fought one guy, and at a 172 catch weight, and the guy didn't even make weight.

                    It was a tune up.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't a mistake. They tweeted the top five, and they didn't mention Ward.

Pretty sure it was just activity. His quality of opposition is top notch. Kessler, Abraham, Froch, Bika, and Dawson within 3 years? No one on the current pound for pound list can top that, and they've had 3 years to do so. If he beats Kovalev he's #1 without a shadow of a doubt.
