We've never seen GGG outclassed by guys like Tiberi that's a fact.

And Tiberi was a better fighter than any ggg has faced. That's a fact.

So a young James Toney fighting Tiberi wasn't in his prime?
Or are we focusing on the points when he wasn't fighting at 160 because he did struggle against a good few opponents back then when he was a MW and did rely on a degree of luck to get the decisions.

so GGG who is practically better in every single way to Tiberi wouldn't beat Toney?
I mean you're basing things on fantasy and nostalgia so I can definitely take triangular theories into this.

Whoever wins would be by decision and very debatable.
It depends on the judges whether they prefer offensive or defensive minded fighter.
Jirov (one of the representative of Kazakhstan school of boxing) was very game until the very last minute against Toney. GGG is far better fighter than Jirov. GGG is naturally talented and physically gifted with great work ethic, while Jirov was who he was only because of great work ethic.

James Toney was unstable fighter, I think we should focus on Toney in fights with McCallum or Nunn at 160.

It was clear win for Toney and it was at cruiserweight, where Toney's punch was not so effective.

Well that's part of the problem we shouldn't have to look at a separate fight to say when JT would beat GGG, when we do fantasy match-ups its usually from a certain year i.e. Ali in the 60s.
Toneys a good fighter but he certainly can be hit and I just highly doubt a fighter with the amateur pedigree of Golovkin would constantly be missing shots.

I'll say this however If Golovkin goes out looking to knock Toney out from round 1-12 then I think Toney could probably take the win on points because he looked sloppy when he tried that against Munroe Jr (Mexican style).
