Why was Mayweather able to stand right in front of Canelo and walk him down?

Because canelo fought like a punk..

He needed to be aggressive like how taylor was vs hopkins

Round 8 was my favorite round, Canelo came out strong and Mayweather took complete control in the last minute.

Because Canelo isn't a pressure fighter, he's a counter puncher. A counter puncher isn't going to beat Floyd. Not Marquez, not Canelo, not even Lara. I actually think Kirkland would do better against Floyd than Canelo. Laugh if you want. Not saying he would win, but I think he'd get 4 or 5 rounds.

All of Alvarez's fights since Floyd have been above the 154 lb limit. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that the zombie 152 lb CW affected him.

Maybe Floyd would've beaten him at 154. Maybe Floyd would've beaten guys like Margarito and Paul Williams. We'll never know because Floyd didn't take those risks. TBE doe.
Stop *****ing about the weight. Canelo was in tip top shape for that fight. He was actually moving forward late in the fight, whereas in the past he would fade like a fresh Ceaser. He did his best but he's not on Floyds level.

Thought he could bait Floyd into coming in, but Floyd didn't take the bait and still used the distance and his reach.
From the opening bell, Floyd went right to him and pushed him back the entire fight! Their was no "only for a few seconds". All I remember is Canelo going backwards, or being pushed backwards. Up against the ropes in most of the fight with his gloves up in a fetal possition. As Floyd beat him up in a corner. The entire fight, Floyd fought as the stronger man. I remember the 4th round when Floyd bullied the bigger man around the ring, and shoulder rolled in the pocket, began to counter up close. Just pushed him back like it was nothing. At the end of that round, Canelo landed a jab, Floyd smurked, and got mad, and threw that little combination. Floyd actually walked Canelo waaaaay more than he did Shane, and Shane is older and smaller than Nelo! It was an ATG performance!
