Why was Mayweather able to stand right in front of Canelo and walk him down?

I actually watched that fight today, Canelo tried to play Floyd's game and lost. However, the fight, or some of the rounds I should say, were closer than I initially thought. Don't get me wrong, Floyd looked spectacular but Canelo put up a now underrated effort. I remember thinking Floyd practically pitched a shut out but upon re-watching, Canelo could have won 3-4 rounds and was still hanging around in some inactive rounds. His gameplan actually wasn't that bad, it was more the execution, he should have been more active and should have kept pumping that jab he was having success with. Also, Floyd's superior footwork and counter ability made it a tough mountain to climb regardless.

All of Alvarez's fights since Floyd have been above the 154 lb limit. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that the zombie 152 lb CW affected him.
Maybe Floyd would've beaten him at 154. Maybe Floyd would've beaten guys like Margarito and Paul Williams. We'll never know because Floyd didn't take those risks. TBE doe.
Porter is a big welterweight and he still beat Broner at 154, Hopkins was a big middleweight and ge beat Dela Hoya at 156, so Canelo has no excuse, he agreed on the weight and had enough time to make it.

Historically, Mexican fighters always fight at a weight well below their walk around weight.
One one hand, you can say if they're able to make the weight then them fighting at that weight shouldn't be a problem, but on the other hand, it begs the question, how much respect should a fighter receive for beating a naturally smaller fighter...
...not much imo.

Matter of fact, Floyd was so much more aggressive with Canelo, than he was with Shane, you shouldnt never come out of your mouth and say no dumbshiet like that Lol. The Shane fight was boring and no one threw any punches, and if Floyd did to Shane what he did to Canelo, he would've stopped Shane. The Canelo fight was a combination of the Shane, JMM, and Ortiz fights, as far as how sharp and agressive he was. The Shane fight was only a fraction of what Floyd did in one fight, against Nelo!

I honestly believe it was Canelo being drained.
Now at 154 he probably could have done the same thing to Canelo (at 154 I think canelo is still drained lol).
