Why was Mayweather able to stand right in front of Canelo and walk him down?

So you don't know about rehydration, he usually weights from 170-173 fight night.
He didn't walk him down that much, you guys are exaggerating, maybe for Mayweather standards but overall Mayweather was still defensive and only came forward a few times. That being said he did school the hell out of Canelo.Comment

I mean those two pounds may have been a lot for a guy who doesn't walk around at 54. His fight night weight may not reflect it but maybe losing those two extra pounds could have messed with his preparationComment

At the end of the day, THIS^^^^^ is the answer.
It's simple really.
Of course for most people on NSB to admit this, is to admit that the guys that they cheer for (Canelo, Cotto, Pac) were not on the level of the guy whose guts they hate.Comment

Because he was faster. Period. When Canelo was aggressive which is not his style in the first place, Floyd moved. A lot. He was able to counter Canelo and won an uneventful fight off speed and timing. Most rounds were the difference of one or two punches in Floyd's favor. It wasn't some wizardry , he's faster by a significant margin.Comment

Larry, I'm gonna have to keep it real here. Have you ever been critical of Floyd? It seems to me you make threads that you already know the answer to and are simply making them to drive the point that Floyd is an incredible fighter. It's not really fun to see these threads, and I would go as far as to call these bait threads, really. Again, it seems that the point of these threads is to reiterate and remind us of how good Floyd is, with no other real purpose.
An example of other Floyd threads in this style would be "Has there ever been a 5 division world champion, p4p #1, and being undisputed in 2 different weight classes at the same time, who fought...." when clearly Mayweather is the answer to your question.
My point is you are asking for things you already know the answer to.Comment
