Idk no about walking him down the whole fight. What I do know is Canelos team had quickly resorted to a premeditated gameplan which was **** points. Wait for a big shot. And that big shot never really came.

That **** is GOLD! makes me sad though that we'll never see this anymore, Floyd is retiring and Roger is sick as hell.

During the lead up to the Hatto fight and during the fight itself Roger was freaking hilarious "Keep breaking that hoe down, don't worry they gon' rescue that mofücker"

Canelo ran out of steam, and he isn't one to impose his size anyway

But yes, Floyd was great that night.
If Canelo was drained he has nobody to blame except himself, he's the one who wanted to fight at 150 in 2012, so they made the fight at 152 a year later, Canelo actually weighed 153 in his previous fight against Trout, he had almost 10 weeks to prepare for Floyd and he wasn't coming off a layoff, which is enough time to lose 2 extra lbs healthy for an active fighter, he rehydrated to 165+ anyways.

because canelo was at a severe disadvantage in handspeed, also canelo isn't clever enough to setup his punches or lay traps for floyd

Because Canelo was to green and doesn't know how to impose his size againt a guy with Floyd's experience

So the guy who didn't have enough confidence in his own ability to fight Canelo at the same weight he had previously fought Cotto and De La Hoyua doesn't deserve any of the blame?

All of Alvarez's fights since Floyd have been above the 154 lb limit. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that the zombie 152 lb CW affected him.

Maybe Floyd would've beaten him at 154. Maybe Floyd would've beaten guys like Margarito and Paul Williams. We'll never know because Floyd didn't take those risks. TBE doe.

Mayweather took the center of the ring from the opening bell, Alverez got discouraged very quickly.

I agree with everything except walking him down, stood in front of him yes, but walking him down was like a few seconds, and imo it was Canelo only tactic left. Thought he could bait Floyd into coming in, but Floyd didn't take the bait and still used the distance and his reach.
