The irony from this mfer...claims GGG is to small to move up, but Floyd is scared to fight someone two weight classes higher.Comment

He's been a pro for a decade, you're telling me he couldn't fight any legit opponents for ten full years?GGG has fought the available leading MWs around, the names missing are Martinez, who only had one or 2 fights left in his career by the time GGG started making a name for himself, Cotto straight up doesn't want it and Quillin ducked him for years and is now wanting a 168 run.
He might be able to get Canelo next year and probably someone at SMW but there really aren't any marquee names around for him to fight and who want to fight him.Comment

GGG was just asking Floyd to defend the 154 lb titles he's been babysitting for years. Not at a CW, at 154. Not 2 weight classes, zero weight classes.
GGG is an exciting, talented fighter with a mediocre resume, but a wicked 20 fight KO streak. There are a lot of reasons behind the less than stellar resume. He turned pro pretty late. He was ducked by Sturm for years. Then by Martinez, Cotto, Quillin, Chavez Jr and Froch, among others.
If he's able to add Cotto/Canelo winner, Lee, maybe Jacobs, Lara and then moves up and fights Ward, he'll end up okay.
But yeah, if GGG is offering to fight Floyd at 154, chances are he's a bit small at 168.Comment

Ward couldn't even make the SMW limit and wants a 160 man to move up but needs several tuneups to "ease" into 175 before a Kovalev bout. Monroe jr, Murray, and Stevens would put Berto to sleep easily.Comment
