Cotto is a great fighter and will go down as such. Internet poster's opinion means *** all in the boxing industry. He will be a first ballot hall of famer and will be remembered by the boxing community as a torch bearer and last of a throwback breed.

Cotto could have been greater had he made better team management decisions early in his career. His bad decisions there cost him in the ring. Visually, a boxing purist can see the talent and level Cotto has, which is why his peers rate him so highly.

His career is not over yet. He has Canelo to take care of, and possibly Golovkin depending on what happens next year. I just look forward to seeing the man, the myth, the legend still performing and giving us great fights. If you can't appreciate a fighter like Cotto, well I feel sorry for your mother.

Cotto doesnt disappoint like phaggotweather...ortiz, guerrero, mosley, delahoya, maidana 2(because he lost maidana 1), canelo, pacquiao. Margarito's condition and where his career was at was more relevant than his age in years. Same with Martinez, Foreman, Gaele, etc. They were all vulture opportunities.

Oh the hate towards Cotto always amaze me. No one can deny that he has been one of the most exciting fighters in his era. The man beat a lot of good fighters, some were undefeated when he fought them and some became champs after he beat them. But what the hell, let's just hate on him right?
